Feels weird without it, and things definitely start to feel more normal with a new season of Survivor coming up.
S40 was the "end of an era". Hopefully this new era ends up being just as good if not better.
As part of the changes for the new era, the big one being that they're reducing it to 26 days. It won't impact number of TV episodes, but it does mean for the players that they'll have a challenge every other day (compared to the old format where its 3 day cycles. 1st day is nothing, 2nd day might be reward challenge, 3rd day is immunity challenge + tribal). So now, in the w day cycles, 1 day is nothing (tribal fallout for the tribe that went to tribal), 2nd day is the immunity and tribal.
I like that change. It obviously is a change from tradition, but in Survivors case, it's a great idea. Costs will be cut, the players won't be draining away by the end(physically and mentally), and we'll see faster/more urgent gameplay with less downtime.
Season premieres September 22.
