Matthew Perry Dead at 54

Sounds like he drowned in his home in his hot tub, but they claim no foul play involved.

He did have a history of health issues with drinking and substance abuse, but who knows what happened here.

Obviously will always most be known for playing Chandler Bing (aka Ms.Chanandler Bong). Can't believe one of that cast is gone already.

Just a couple days ago there was a Who’s The Boss marathon on, and I stopped on it for a minute. A young Matthew Perry was playing one of Alyssa Milano’s roommates.

Sad to hear but I'm not shocked. He's had several operations related to his substance abuse (including a burst colon that should have killed him) and he didn't get sober until he was 43. His body went through the wringer.

Turns out TMZ paid one of the responding officers to leak the info to them, and they were the ones that initially broke the news.

So a lot of Perry's friends and family probably found out through social media.

Sadly, that's true for many stories they get and lots of times when it relates to a celebrity death.

Who can forget how crazy the Kobe situation was and all the different reports coming out and everyone assuming certain people were/weren't on that helicopter and all that, and we know how the officers who responded to that crash ended up.

Same can be true in all areas though. Even sports, something as simple as a trade, some insiders do have legit sources they find stuff or from that leak it to them even before the player finds out.

Well I guess they see 25 year old fit soccer players dropping dead on the field and thought there might be a connection seeing as Perry was a promoter of the jab. But I could be wrong.

Moving on...

I did not realize that Perry used opiates for two years after almost dying from his 2018 "burst colon "related" operation. The addict cannot escape the physical damage brought on by his continued using no matter if he eventually gets clean. This guy was going through 55 Vicodin and a fifth of vodka daily (not sure if he was doing this simultaneously). He said he doesn't remember filming seasons 3-5.

Just another example as to why I definitely made the right choice in quitting drinking almost 2 years ago.

I remember there being concerns about his weight back in the day, so I knew he had some issues. But I had no idea the extent of his addiction issues until reading some of the obits. Very sad.

I watch a lot of true crime, but I didn't realize Keith Morrison was his stepdad.
