If anyone in that cast deserved a spinoff it should've been Missy, or her as a main character in this new show. But they really gave her such a bad ending in YS.

Edit-First impressions, it just feels like a basic sitcom. Doesn't really stand out or feel like a continuation from Young Sheldon outside of the characters and their backstory.
Yeah, it was disappointing. The only thing that has real promise for me is if Mandy's brother gets a bumped up to what the key focus is. It happened with Fonzie and Urkel, so it isn't unprecedented.

Even seeing Mary/Connie show up there just felt so out of place.

I think they wrote it because they liked the actors and someone pushed it. Not sure if CBS wanted it or if it was the writers/producers. The whole show is weird as everyone knows they get divorced and the characters won't make it nice. It's supposed to be a comedy but the plot doesn't really lend itself to that. I don't people will want to watch an unfunny, doomed family when they are just trying to relax and take their mind off the real world.

Yeah, the only real hope is they get divorced then remarry each other for a second marriage and live ambiguously ever after.

Vice has been doing a series called Dark Side of Reality TV.

Haven't seen it (each episode is based on a different show, I'm only gonna watch the Survivor one and Big Brother if they ever do one on that show, which they should, especially season 15), but if it's anything like Vices Dark Side of The Ring (wrestling) from a few years back then it should be real good, their Dark side docs really don't hold back much when talking about whatever the topic is. Reality shows obviously have Dark stories from behind the cameras, the stories I've read from Survivor and Big Brother from contestants I hope get covered too. I wonder if they'll dive into the "rigging" from the first season of the show, and possible future seasons of all kinds of shows with rigging allegations.

Their wrestling ones are real good, the Benoit murder doc and the Owen Hart death ones are a must watch even for old fans (Owen one is obviously sad, especially seeing that to this day his wife has the very metal clip/hook from the stunt that unhooked which led to his fall/death).

I've watched the first few episodes of NCIS Origins and I'm really liking it so far. The guy playing Mike Franks really nailed the original Mike Franks perfectly.

Superman and Lois ending means the Arrowverse is over (although imo it was over once Flash ended).

Can't believe how good things once were. Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl all going at the same time, you had almost a full week of shows. Don't know if we'll ever see anything like that again.

Don't think you will ever see 20+ episodes ever again. Even getting the shortened 13 episodes season is going to be pushing it. Probably stuck in a 6-8 episodes and limited runs.

Agents of Shield eventually had the best formula.

They'd do two 12 episode stories in a season (the Agents of Hydra arc was the best arc/half season of any show imo). Keeps things fresher than stretching out a full season on one story where you probably should've wrapped it up 6 episodes ago but introduced some plothole to continue it.

January 2025 sounds like a fun tv premiere time (for me at least). Something I haven't had on tv in years.

                      Deal or no deal island

                      Traitors

Hollywood Squares (Nate Burleson will be the host this time around)

Goosebumps (stupid decision to air it in January vs October, but could be due to filming the series late/casting? David Schwimmer will be part of the cast)

All premiering that first full week of January. Usually January-February is a bit of a dud.

I'm interested in Tim Allen's new sitcom debut next month. I don't know if it will last more than a season, but I had that same thought with Last Man Standing, and that turned out pretty well.

Tim Allen as the dad and Kat Dennings as the daughter. I probably won't watch it right away, might think about it if the show gets good reviews.

Feels like whenever sitcoms get bigger names, it's more likely to not do as well. Reminds me when they had that show with Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. I was excited for that simply because of the cast and the show didn't take off and there wasn't much chemistry on the show.

Simpsons (and Bobs Burgers) look like they could be moving to a weekday slot.

Fox has had their animated shows as a staple on Sunday night forever. It's apparently the first time since the early 90s that the Simpsons won't be on a Sunday timeslot.

Haven't watched the Simpsons regularly in years but I always DVR Bob Burger and watch it later in the week anyways. Same with Universal Basic Guys. Between it and Bob, those are the only two Fox Sunday night shows that I'll watch weekly.
