It was alright. It wasn't as good as the older episodes. Hopefully it picks up.

That G.I. Joe thing was hilarious.

Re: New Family Guy on tonight...

Did they change who does Lois's voice? It was Alex Borstien(something like that) from Mad TV, I didn't see her name in the credits though. Plus, as someone mentioned, she sounds slightly different.

I think they tried too hard to be "Family Guy" with this episode. They had two flashback sequences within the first minute or two of the show(after the title song). Also tried to tie in with some of their older stuff a few times(the naked greasy guy, the old man from Chris's paper route). I'm glad they left the neighbors out, they already crammed enough into the espisode. It was still very funny though, I defintely missed it. I also like the new "camera" views they used, definitely different from the old episodes.

The episode of American Dad was better than the "sneak preview" episode and that's about all I can say good about it. They were drawing on stuff that was a few years old(Girls Gone Wild and Bumfights). The best parts were when Stan was pulling his CIA strings(the part with Greenspan was great), the rest of the family is easily forgettable. It's just MacFarlane wanting to do more political humor(he talks about wanting to do this in the Family Guy DVD commentaries), but I don't think it will last.

actually i think the flashbacks were warranted. especially since the show has been "cancelled" for over 2 years now. They kind of "HAD to BE family guy" because only half of the watching population probably know of the show.

            Great episode non the less

They weren't bad at all, but it just seemed like the writers had years off and wanted to shove everything into one episode. Also with bringing in the old characters, that's something they never did before and I don't understand why they would add it in this one. The monkey is the only one who had appeared in multiple episodes before this one. Just nitpicking of course, it was a funny episode, I just think the writers were just a little too excited to be back. They will definitely settle back into the routine though, I know the show will keep being great. Just glad to have it back!

Nope its here and her name was in the credits. Someone thought Meg sounded diffrent too, they all sound the same to me.

Same ol' Family Guy and im glad its back. (although I didnt start watching until it was on Adult Swim)

I thought the opening when Peter named all the shows that were cancelled was pretty damn funny. I think I counted 29 of them.

Why did they can Family Guy anyway? Ratings?

THanks for clearing that up, I guess taking a few years off from doing a voice can cause one to forget how exactly they did it before.

Yes, Family Guy was cancelled because of the ratings. It was brought back mainly due to DVD sales, I believe the Adult Swim ratings it drew also helped.
