Re: New Family Guy on tonight...
To make matters worse, according to TV listings, there won't be a new Family Guy next Sunday either. Apparently, Fox has opted to air NASCAR.Comment

Give the geeks and rednecks theirs and get over it.
Jesus.
You'd think someone insulted your mother just because Family Guy isn't on for two weeks. We all lived without it for over three years, if you can't make it until June 5th, you probably need to move on.Comment

The geeks have Star Wars. I'm sure they have all the DVDs, have watched them several thousand times, and have already seen the new movie a dozen times. NASCAR's on TV every Sunday for the last decade. Like you said, we've been without Family Guy for 3 years. I think the priorities are a little off.Comment

and that is the reason why their fanbase is lacking... people need a constant weekly showing to get new people interested.
this is simply unacceptable.

Re: New Family Guy on tonight...
I was more referring to its new fanbase than anything... if its continually on, they'll like it more and more and not move onto bigger and better things.

Family Guy's Return: Week 2
Tuesday, May 10, 2005
Fox has aired two episodes of Family Guy since May 1st: North by North Quahog, and Fast Times at Buddy Cianci High. Their Nielsen ratings were 6.3 and 5.5 respectively, pulling in about 12 and 10 million viewers. These ratings are much better than that of much of season three. In fact, both episodes pulled in as many viewers as the Simpsons were able to. If the ratings can stay where they're at, we should be able to look forward to a long life for Family Guy on Fox.
Along with these new episodes come updates to our episode database, right? Well, yes. Eventually. We're currently working on bringing you an entirely new Planet Family Guy experience. Keep an eye out over the next month or so as we bring you a new and refined database with a more robust search among other things. Until then, swing on by the Family Guy Tonight section on our sister site, DamnYouAll.net to discuss the recent shows with fellow Family Guy fans."Comment

Re: New Family Guy on tonight...
I'd say 12-13 million viewers when going head-to-head with the most watched TV show this season is a pretty freakin good fanbase. Plus it's already been picked up for next fall, so what does it even matter when FOX airs it now? It's not like it's lifespan this time is based solely on how successful it does as a summer show.Comment
