I'd love getting both, and definitely will be getting 360 at launch but it all boils down to my financial situation at the time too.

That's the beauty of pre-ordering. If you put your $50 down on 360 now, by the time November hits, that thing will be paid off and all you would need to do is buy the games. I've pre-ordered 360 already. When it starts for PS3, i'll pre-order that too.

That would be a plan, but I can't even afford the $50 to put down because I have to save up to buy a new motor for my truck.

Oh well....thats what Christmas is for, right?

Add me to the "late night gamer" category, but I think i've got you all beat... 4 kids. (3 at or under the age of 3, twin 18 month old girls put a little surprise on us)

360's all im getting... that along with my CSS addiction is all I think the wife can handle.

I plan on buying 3 next gen consoles.

1 Xbox 360 at launch.

1 PS3 at launch.

1 PS3 8 months after launch when my launch PS3 dies because of Sony's "superior' product quality.

I didn't realize it was possible to have an addiction to Cascading Style Sheets

seriously though, what do you mean by CSS? Counter Strike something? I'm honestly not sure (and if it is Style Sheets then I'm gonna really worry about you )

Dang... I don't know what I'm more surprised at, the fact that you even have time to play video games, or the fact that you had time to make more kids.... You're right, you've got us beat, in my book....

I already preordered my my Xbox 360 last week, I'm so tempted to sell my PS2 slim on ebay with all my accessories, I should get like $200, and just put that tworads the rest of my preorder. There nothing coming out for the PS2 that I wan't anyway.

Preordered my Xbox 360 today...i know i'll get it and while you can usually get them w/o preorders around launch easily I'd rather not have to run around the night it comes out hoping somewhere has one.

thats why I preordered early, My friend who works at the ebgames that I preorderd from saai they will only get like 70 in at launch at his store. so I'm sure it might be like that at a lot of stores, and 70 units will fly fast if you ask me, Thats why I'm happy I'm 6th on that list

I pre-ordered the Xbox 360 the day after the MTV thing. I know somebody that works at one of the Gamestop's and he said they already have 18 pre-orders (that's just one store), that's alot, and Pensacola isn't exactly a big city. The pre-orders were nothing like this for the Xbox this early.

After seeing the PS3 stuff maybe only Xbox 360. They're just doing the same stuff again: GTA next,Devil May Cry 4,MGS 4,Getaway 3. I'm sick of those now. I didn't even like MGS 3 and I don't get that much fun out of GTA without a cheat device anymore. Tekken 6 is the only sequel I can think of that I'd be looking forward to. If all the multiplatform stuff ends up better on PS3 that'll increase my chances of getting it.

That brings up a good point. More than likely that all the third party games will look and play the same on both systems, (development costs?). So its probably going to come down to which first party games do you want to play?

GT5 or Forza 2?
MGS4 or Splinter Cell
Jax/Rachet or Halo
FFXII or KOTOR 3

I'm not completly decided yet, but as of right now, I'll go 360 cause of first party games I'd rather play. But that can change, depending on if Sony or MS start buying exclusives.

I think Halo 3 will make many more sales then Jak/Ratchet. Isn't Final Fantasy on XBOX 360 also? GT5 and Forza 2 will be a nice battle to see who is the top simulation racer.
