It's not a cut-scene.Originally posted by Dark_Lord_VaderYou're kidding, right? As good as that clip looked, I was CONVINCED that it was a Cut-Scene ONLY. I am going to head over to the NBA2k boards to see for myself.Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: XBOX 360: Initially UNDER-whelmed
Actually, Microsoft said there will 5 games playable on the floor, not sure what games though.Originally posted by seanmacAs far as I can tell it's still up for debate as to whether or not it's a cut scene. Seeing as it's highly unlikely that there will be anything playable on the E3 floor, we probably won't know for a few more months.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

i don't think DOA 4 is even close to being done... I think what we saw was the opening cinematic. I think playable will be NFS, Call of Duty, Kameo, Gears of War, Quake, and Morrow Winds. (games that make us OOOOOH, and EEHHHHHH)"I'm servin' dudes like Wimbeldon, advantage, 2uce..."
"They say, 'Marc'us, what do you know about rappin? You don't do drugs, and you don't squeeze hammers' Yeah, i don't fit that stereotype, but i'm bumpin in your stereo right!?"

Exactly. After playing 2k5 online today, I just about threw my controller three times.Originally posted by seanmacI'll be truly impressed when a console has a basketball title that plays remotely like basketball. But if sweaty hair is what you're looking for...Comment

I meant graphically, of course. I thought that was obvious, since that was the spirit of the conversation. I agree with you about gameplay, and there's no reason not to hope for both.Originally posted by seanmacI'll be truly impressed when a console has a basketball title that plays remotely like basketball. But if sweaty hair is what you're looking for...I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Re: XBOX 360: Initially UNDER-whelmed
But when you use the word "PLAYS" in place of 'graphics' that is a little mis-leading. I often wonder if people do confuse graphics with gameplay.Originally posted by SilverstringI meant graphically, of course. I thought that was obvious, since that was the spirit of the conversation. But there is no way anyone can convince me that NBA LIVE and the 2k games are "simulations" of NBA Basketball. Fun to play, yes! but they`re not realistic. The closet we`ve come to a basketball sim on this generation of consoles has been NBA INSIDE DRIVE `04.
But getting back to graphics... I`m most impressed with the ps3 so far. But with all the graphics I also want incredible and hopefully extremely non-linear, gameplay. I`m more concerned about how well AI will be on this generaton of consoles. And how well can devz create games that are "NOT" repetitive.
The point is... All the "pretty colors" are nice but if the AI is ******** and its the same thing over and over what good is it?
I want to see something different 'EVERTIME' I play these new games.Comment

Re: XBOX 360: Initially UNDER-whelmed
M$ was dealt the death blow already when the PS3 specs came out. I am a PS2 user who realizes the Xbox was a more powerful machine than the PS2. I never really had a problem with that though. But I must say, I'll be sticking with Sony on this one, and their machine clearly is the "better" of the two in terms of technology.Originally posted by Dark_Lord_VaderM$ is going to be in some SERIOUS trouble if PS3 starts showing samples of games that are more visually stunning that what we saw here.

Sony fanboy wishful thinking. Dazzled by specs? Well we did get parts of this country from the American Indians by trading them shiny beads. Now back to your tech demos and visual targets.

You can't argue with the fact the PS3 is a more powerful machine.Originally posted by Jistic

Just like you could argue with the fact the XBOX is more powerful than the PS2.
Those are the facts. You can like whichever system you wish, but the power is with Sony this time around. Granted, it will probably cost 50% more than the 360.Comment
