    There's a surprise.

I'm not finding fault in your opinion, jmood, for many people online is a godsend. That said, the statistics DO support nintendo's position. The VAST majority of even XBox owners don't use Live, to say nothing of the other consoles.

Nintedo will be a factor for two main reasons. 1. Lower Price 2. Great First Party titles.

Was there anything said that actually confirmed that old 3rd party games will be a part of this "download old games" deal? I would be shocked if the available games are anything other than 1st party titles.

            New Smash Brothers = Purchase
No new Smash Brothers = No purchase

That's my basic standpoint as of now. It also had to come out while I'm still in college for it to be worth it for Smash Brothers.

It sounds really cool though. Graphically I side with Nintendo...supposidely x360 is a lot more powerful than GC yet most of the games for it don't really look like an upgrade...the obvious thing to be concerned about is 3rd party support with the system being different again.

If the downloadable video game content is a good as it sounds, and the system isn't too expensive, I'll definitley purchase it at launch just so I can recapture the good times of playing Oricania Of Time for the N64.

yeah the downloadable content sounds interesting, I wonder how much it will be. That will be great for some of the old NES games. Luckily I have the Gamecube Zelda Collector's disc that has the old Zelda games on it, so I have those to play on the Cube, but I really wish I had something to play the Mario games on. I hope this feature is cheap.

Re: Am I the Only One MOST Excited for the Revolution?

I have a good feeling that they will offer there old classics for free or at atleast sell them at a very cheap price per download... I don`t see why not??? They can still make a ton of money just selling the console itself because everyone that buys the REV will buy atleast 2 games to go with it because Ninetendo games sell.

What would be even better is if you could play the old games online against other gamers!! That would probably make me buy the REV! wow... All the nintendo classics and the new stuff online... I don`t think I would ever leave the house again! haha.....

I wonder if they will offer downloads on "NINTENDO" games only or if it will be every game that was relelased on there old systems? And are they going to charge for downloads or what? Anyone know for sure?

Re: Am I the Only One MOST Excited for the Revolution?

I would expect a fee with prices going up with each generation (something like NES = $2, SNES = $5, N64 = $8 with combo deals).

I thought it would only be Nintendo games but after thinking about it, it would make sense for all the 3rd party devs to join in. It's not like most of those games are still being sold on EB anyways and it's all profit for them.

Nintendo and all the other companies could make a killing selling those old games. Just off the top of my head for NES alone I would buy Ice Hockey, Blades of Steel, Tecmo Super Bowl, Double Dragon, Jordan vs. Bird, Paperboy, Super Spike V-ball, and Little League Baseball.
