I'm about halfway through the game currently and I have to say overall I'm quite impressed. The graphics are as advertised and in some cases (especially during heated close-quarters firefights) it looks almost photo-realistic. I'm currently playing on the highest unlocked difficulty (the fourth difficulty isn't unlocked until I finish the game), and there are currently two things that bother me about this game.

1) For one, although the enemy AI is INCREDIBLE (especially on the hard difficulty), I'm quite disappointed that your team AI isn't as smart and you're sometimes put in a babysitting situation for some of the more heated firefights because your teammate refuses to get behind cover. Having to leave your cover to revitalize one of your teammates constantly is quite annoying and generally results in your own death since the teammate is generally lying right in the middle of the battlefield. If you try to just leave your teammate there until after the battle, the enemy AI is so intelligent that they will realize you are outnumbered and will flank you and more than likely kill you.

2) The second issue I have is the amount of bullets it takes to kill one of your enemies. Some of these firefights can last almost half an hour because not only is the enemy AI so smart that it is constantly finding cover to hide behind to prevent you from getting off a good shot, but also because it takes so many shots to kill just one that it prolongs the battle that much more. I shouldn't have to unload half my SMG clip to down one Helghast!

I don't think they are sluggish either. It just feels like you have a real gun/rifle in your hand. Only criticism I have for the game is that there isn't a single player deathmatch, and there are only 8 maps. But, I would bank that more are coming down the line.

Yeah, after playing a little more and re-reading my comment, that isn't the right word. I'm probably not the best judge anyway; I'm used to playing TF2 on PC, not console shooters. Last console FPS I played was the first Resistance.

No matter, the game is awesome.

My discipline is diminishing with each hour today. I have to convince myself to just wait for The Show on Tuesday.
