Re: Dead Rising Hands-On (Xbox 360)

there evidently is a lot more depth and nuance to the game than some are giving credit for (from reading other reviews elsewhere)

The amount of weapons and the diversity in using them (ie heating the frying pan first to melt faces) and vehicle usage and a story line ot follow.

    I'm sold.

Just played it for a bit, and I really like it. It's State of Emergency for sure, but with more depth. Very good game to just pick up and play. The weapons are great!!

Played the demo, thought it was pretty decent. Very fun slicing and dicing through hordes of undead. Not sure if it has the legs to be a full blown purchase for me though. I will definently rent it.
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Yeah, I didn't feel like waiting 2-3 weeks on my Xbox 360 back. When my box arrives Monday/Tuesday I'll send my broken one in and get it replaced with another broken one that was repaired. Then I'll sell it.

Holic, I think that would be the best thing to do. You bought a core?

What did it cost for the Core + warranty total?

It was a little over $360 for everything. Hopefully I can almost clear $300 for my refurb, or very close to it. This new one has a different drive tray, and runs alot quieter, and somewhat cooler so far.

That's good to hear bro. You might be able to sell it to someone for around that price or even on ebay.

I love the sound effect when you smack a zombie with an electric guitar, it's hilarious.

I agree, that was my favorite weapon. The bowling ball was fun too.

Forgot the stuffed bear and fire spit.

I'm pretty sure it's sold, a guy at work has been looking to get one. I got it at Gamestop, and from what I took of the conversation, I bring the broken one in, walk out with a brand new unit.
