On Monday, Apple announced that their Mac's would be using Intel CPU's(x86) by 2006. Was a surprise, considering that they were using IBM's PowerPC core for so long. Apple tested the Cell and apparently didn't find it powerful enough for PC applications. They didn't go with AMD because they apparently were not confident with their chip production capabilities.

It's a huge move for Apple users, and many are either weary and/or unhappy about it.
