Actually both. You can get as deep as you want in this game and it does get deep.

Yeah... thats the only thing I don`t like about most turn-based games. Their so incredibly deep that it can take weeks to learn how to play the game. Thats one thing I like about Strategic Command, Its easy to get into and you can learn it in about 2-3 days. Check out the demo if you get chance.

Try months instead of weeks. You can micromanage like there's no tomorrow in this game. That's why Falcon 4.0 has such a strong theatre of war because it uses this war engine.

If your looking for a turn-based strategy war game that's not so involving like OAOW, try to find a copy of Panzer General II (made by SSI). Not as deep but it's great fun.
