I really wish that XBOX would *Legitimately* allow people to install larger HDD's on their systems and allow the users to install games onto larger HDD's. XBOX could really cut down on 90% of their problems if they just did this. DVD drives aren't meant to be beat up like this. HDD's are.

I have thompson and only had problems w/ sega games (it just flat-out wouldn't play NBA 2k5 or CH 2k5) until recently (MVP '05). It was the first non-sega game to start freezing on me, but only while in menus. Also, my xbox had issues with creating these jagged blocks of "graphic" on the screen in some games. Most recently, it refuses to play Burnout 3.

With these issues, it kinda makes me feel reluctant about the 360. I hope it has less hardware issues than the Xbox.

By the way, I bought my xbox in late 2003, but can't remember the manufacture date.

Again, if they just had an option for a larger HDD, all of those problems would be solved. Slow down and compatibility problems would be gone.

Ive had my thompson since the first day xbox came out, and I have had no problems since. Too bad I have to sell it in order to get 360.
