In a game where you can kill prostitutes, beat cops to death with a bat and basically perform any type of violent crime imaginable, people are actually worried that gamers can unlock a sex game. North America is so neurotic about sexuality...Perhaps it's the religious values seeping in, but then in countries like Italy (with many religious people as well), you don't see such a concern over something as trivial as seeing a woman's breasts, etc...

For all the parents on these boards- Which would you be more worried about for your kids?

Apparently there was a Sex Mini-Game that was taken out just before the release, with the "girlfriends" you acquire throughout the game, if you got a full relationship bar (I think), then she would invite you in her house and the sex mini-game would start.

It was on the news the other day.

I could see a problem if this was in the game by default, but if you need a cheating device and all of those codes, it's not a big deal.

Yes, there is a sex mini game in the PC version I believe.

I've seen a video of it.. Basically you control different sexual positions until you get the girl to orgasm, at which point it's over.

This goes to show how violence is accepted in our society, but sex is something that children are guarded from at all costs.

Granted, GTA is a Mature rated game, but tons of kids play it, and even if they don't, people that are legally old enough to buy the game shouldn't have a sexual scene hidden from them.

It is disturbing to me that you can walk up to an officer and shoot him in the head with a Desert Eagle, watching his head explode, and then beat his corpse repeatedly with a blunt weapon. And yet, a scene involving two people making love is banned and removed from the game.

It just seems like our priorities are out of line. Sending a message that violence and killing is acceptable, while nudity and sex is something that should not be witnessed is one of the many examples that priorities in America are out of whack.

And for those that haven't seen the video.. The female in the mini game is totally nude, while CJ is wearing pants the entire time. The fact that the scene was removed is an interesting contrast to the extreme violence that is present in the game, and actually would be a great topic for a research paper for a college level class.

The message that it is perfectly acceptable to release a game where the user hijacks a car, shoot someone in the head, and steals their money, but is prevented from seeing a man and woman making love, is disheartening to me. And I am not criticizing those that play the game, but instead those that make the decisions on what to include, and exclude, from these games upon their release.

This is probably why the latest Leisure Suit Larry only hinted at the sexual stuff rather then being more direct about it like the previous games.

I think violence is too often glorified and treated as if its a normal part of society yet sexual stuff raises a red light. In a lot of ways our society is hypocritical.

It's called an Easter Egg and I bet it caused several more thousand copies to be sold to some perverts.. To let this slip many months after release just gets the game more publicity. Smart marketing if you ask me. This whole thing has got Hilary Clintons panties in a bunch and I find it hilarious.

When you look at most european countries whose media has boobs, simulated sex scenes, and nude beaches across the country; they are not afraid of their sexuality or public ways of expressing it. I wish Amercia could adopt this same mentality instead of downgrading things that have sexual things amongst them. If media stopped making sexuality a taboo maybe we wouldnt here about 'young girl abducted, raped and killed, or other problems that society suffers because of America's taboo on sexuality.'

Rape is both a violent and sexual act. I dont think people go out to rape with the intent to be violent...I think they do it more based on the fact of sexual frustration/fantasy and the fact their pretty sick in the head. I didnt major in pysch and behavior in college either so I dont really know...

I just think it is quite interesting that most european countries who display sex, and are more confident and secure in their sexuality, experience less rapes and molestations in their country than the U.S. does. I would assume their society accepting sex more openly then the states has something to do with it...

I know someone that has been raped so I'm a little biased. I don't know if sexual attitudes in other countries effect the countries rape numbers because I do not have access to their statistics, where are oyou getting this information?> I just don’t see how having access to more porn would stop someone from raping people.
