Well, it has motion controls so technically you can now move all you want while shooting

I don't have a ps3 yet, so what technically will it have you doing with the motion controls? I haven't really kept up with it cause the lack of movement while shooting turned me off big time when it first came out.

Edit: Just read up a bit about it, looks and sounds awkward.

It's basically the same as the wii setup, which was outstanding.

          Re: Resident Evil 5 (360/PS3)

Just recently picked this game up for $5 at hollywood video. The game gets better the farther you get through the campaign. But the controls and camera angles were annoying to play with. Even though i got use to the controls did not excuse how poor of a design it is.

Also i preferred the suspense resident evil gameplay from the earlier games in the series. This one was more of a action game which was entertaining but did not have that creepy experience that i liked from the others.

Is it possible to skip the actual RE 5 and just play that part without having played RE 5?

That trailer just reminded me of how big Chris's head is and how goofy he looks when he just has his mouth open and those top teeth showing.

This thread reminds me that I still have RE5 in the plastic, unopened. May have to get around to it...

I still haven't played this yet either... Really thinking about picking it up. Gonna have to read through the impressions. When is the DLC due?

Found this on another site.......did anyone download the new content today for the 360?

Version 2.00 patch for PS3 is out and so is an optional patch for 360 with the new menus and the extra figurines. The PS3 one is 3X as large as usual, but the odd thing is that it requires you to created a new save slot from there on in. It won't deleted the old one and all content will migrate to the new one.

                        Re: Resident Evil 5 (360/PS3)

Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers were confirmed for inclusion in Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition earlier this week. Today, Capcom shared official media of the two characters. See our media section for screens and art.

These two characters are the final additions for Gold Edition's new Mercenaries Reunion mode. They join Josh Stone, Excella Gionne, and two variations each for Chris and Sheva.

Gold Edition buyers will get all the characters on the disc. Current RE5 owners will be able to download them. Capcom previously shared a download schedule for the game but left Barry and Rebecca's slots blank. Barry will be included with Excella and the Lost in Nightmares scenario in the DLC pack that's due on February 17. Rebecca will be included with Josh and the Desperate Escape scenario in the pack that's due on March 4.

In addition to the character profiles, Capcom shared today details on how current RE5 owners will be able to migrate to Gold Edition. Some of the content in Gold Edition has to be unlocked by reaching certain points in the main RE5 scenario. If you've already reached those points in your current copy of RE5, you won't have to play the main scenario again. The same holds true for the download versions of Gold Edition's content.

Capcom didn't specify exactly what has to be unlocked, but we'd suggest holding on to your save files.

Did anyone pickup Lost In Nightmares yet? I plan to tonight. Reading around, this feels so much like the original Resident Evil + there is a hidden option to make this DLC with tank controls and fixed camera.

I'm trying to decide if it's just cheaper for me to buy the individual DLC or just grab a copy of the gold version.

Would my old RE5 saves work with the Gold Version?

I know with the PS3 version that the new update actually overwrites your previous save file.........so I think the same thing will happen with the Gold version. Stupid Capcom did this so people didn't use maxed out weapons for the LIN dlc which only has a handful of zombies running around. In some ways its good and others kind of stupid of them.
