xbox 360 launch console, are you worried?
The xbox 360 console, lots of people here are getting them at launch. Are you worried the first batch coming out will be defective? Much like the drives on the original xbox that produced DDE(dirty disc errors). I know you all are hyped for the machine, but do you think that we will get a good version that will last till the next xbox console comes out? I am guaranteed a launch console and I hope not to get a defective console. It is too much money to just throw away.

Re: xbox 360 launch console, are you worried?
My launch days are over! This go around I will wait until the system is out for a bit. Especially if they are going to change the drive.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory” -

Why would I be worried?
If you feel that way, just buy an extended warrenty. If a system is going to have major problems, you'll see them within the first year or two.Comment

Re: xbox 360 launch console, are you worried?
All first-gen products will have defects. Video game consoles, Cars, TV's, ect.
But knowing the Xbox 360 won't have Thomson as it's drive, and Cimtek ironing out the bugs, the number of defective units should be alot less than the Xbox had.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: xbox 360 launch console, are you worried?
You automatically get a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer when you buy the thing. Most of the time, any problems will rear their head within that timeframe. If you are that worried, just buy an extended warranty, like someone else said.
If you can only buy a 1 year extended warranty, like someone said above about eb games, you would be an absolute fool to do it, since it starts when you purchase the system and runs concurrently with the 1 year manufacturer's warranty.Comment

Heh...if it's defective....get a new one...and if it happens after your warranty is up, get your most annoying female friend and have her call/e-mail them every day until they give you a refund/new XBOX 360.Orioles-Ravens-Wizards-Capitals

How about the games? I'm not sure how all this works, but I do know that the game developers just got the beta kits for xbox360 (80% power of xbox360). How good can the games be with such little time to work with and only working with a beta??Comment

No.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
