But I had thought about picking up another Xbox earlier, but I thought, why should I do that? I could just as easily put down another $250 and have the next-gen system and have better graphics.

The key selling point for me was in the Ask a Developer questions on NBA 2k6 where they asked about player specific shots and stuff, and they said, "They will be in next gen games" or something of that sort. From then, I had to get one. It wasn't even an option then... it was a "have to" type of situation.

Are you still thinking about it? Or are you planning on moving forward? I talked to the representative, and she told me that they wouldn't be taking many more pre-orders because their limit was approaching or something... but I was told that mine would be w/ the launch consoles.

Well I went ahead an order the Silver package, I just e-mailed then waiting to make sure I will be getting it on launch day. My girl is going to kill me, but at least I can get buried with the 360....lol

I just don't like that I coulnd't pick my games, I called my local gamestop and they told me that I couldn't return the game to them, so that's out of the question for me, I just might have to sell some of the game on ebay.

Well, they can technically charge your credit card 10 days before they ship within legality questions, so just make sure the funds are there at least 10 days beforehand. But no, they don't charge it until then, or so I understand.

And tell your girl that you all have forever to spend together, but the Xbox 360 only has a lifespan of 5 or so years :y4: She'll know about quality time, so she will probably understand :y4:

What reason did your Gamestop give you about returning the games? I don't think that there is a way around getting them to return the game for store credit. Technically if it's not opened, they have to obey their return policy for unopened goods, or at least thats what my buddy said (he's a store manager for Gamestop). If not, you can always go the wal-mart route of "I got these for my birthday, but I already had them... and exchange them for something of equal or lesser value". I'd go the gamestop route after you get your bundle in. I checked my order status, and everything was charged seperately, and only $29.99 for the 1 year replacement plan, which is where you get teh discount I think. All of the games are ringing up full price, and so is the system. I think you can order something online, and return it to the brick and mortar store though. But I can't remember their policy. We shouldn't have a problem though.

the only problem will be if the games say "not for resale" or something of that nature. It will be a no go if that is the case. I don't believe it will be, but who knows. I just don't understand why they don't offer a sports bundle or something.

Hey FF, let me know what they say about us getting it on launch day. As long as you are e-mailing them, there is probably no since in me doing the same thing.

I am keeping both of my preorders until I find something out for sure from Wal-Mart.com, I would much rather have their bundle, it's a little cheaper too.

btw WT, i'm in Glasgow. EB charges tax in KY though, since they ship from Louisville. I think I'm going to start using gamestop.com more often if this works out.

LOL.........I hear ya, I want the xbox 360 just as bad as the next guy, plus I got that 6 months intrest free on my card, so i think I can have it paid off by then, my girl always say more important things in LIFE the video games.

I'll be taking mine to Wal-Mart and exchanging them. They will not have a problem with that, unless the game says something like "not for resale" on the front. If they do, we will be stuck with them.

Yep. I pre-ordered my stuff at EBGAMES and Gamestop. Don't ask why 2 stores, it's a long story.
Anyways I have the System (399 one) preordered and half paid for at EBGAMES. I owe 10.00 on Ghost Recon, 30.00 on Call of Duty 2 and paid off Madden and Oblivion at the Gamestop in my mall.

The gamestop employees said they are opening at Midnight
haven't asked EBGAMEs yet about a midnight opening.

I have a job and no vacation time left, I get off of work @ 11:30pm. That is not an option unless I want to lose a day's pay to pick it up. I already plan to take the day after off so 2 days isn't an option for me. I would also rather not stand in line all evening to pick it up like I did for the PS2.

The closest gamestop and EB to me is 35 minutes away, I will look into it, but I don't think there is anywhere still taking preorders in my town. What would be even worse is that I stand in line all evening and they sell out before I can get one. As long as I get it by Christmas, I'm not too worried about it.

Well it since your taking off the day after you could maybe switch that to the day of and after work go at midnight to pick it up at EB or Gamestop. That way you get the games you want and can get the accesories you want.

Have a question for you however, where do you see your itemized receipt? Right now, all I have is an e-mail confirming that I spent $799 on the Xbox 360 silver bundle.

go to my account and put in your user name and password, click on your order and it will come up. I just looked at mine. According to this, we should get everything except the console before 11/22.
