You got taken a bit. Let's look at what those games are going for on eBay right now:

NCAA 06: $30 (I know; I sold mine today for that price.)
    GTA Double Pack: Approximately $12
    Rainbow Six 3: Approximately $7
    MVP 2005: Approximately $12
    FIFA 05: Approximately $18

Games alone you could have made around $80. An Xbox in good condition with one controller and no DVD remote will get around $75-80 on eBay.

So if you sold on eBay, you could have made around $150-160. Not sure if the shipping and listing is worth $30 to you, but that's nearly 25 percent more than what GameCrazy gave you.

Not surprising, though: Stores never give you as much for a trade as you can by selling it yourself. That's the golden rule with cars, and it's the golden rule with games and systems.

Still, $130 is a nice chunk of no-hassle change, either way. Have fun with it!

    Take care,

How long ago was it though?

This thread has got me thinking. I may put mine up on eBay. I have about 10 games, 2 microsoft controllers, 1 logitech wireless controller with wireless headset, memory card, Action Replay, and HD cables. I hope I get a decent amount.

          Burn:

Whatever you do, sell the games separately and individually -- don't sell them as part of any bundle, either with the console or as a games-only bundle.

When you sell everything as a bundle, people know you're unloading the system and aren't willing to pay as much.

Sell the games separately. You'll make a lot more money that way. Cha-ching!

          Good luck.

          Take care,

Good advice. I thought I would be cutting down on eBay fees but probably not likely as you say.

Re: So I just traded in my XBOX...

so i decided to trade in my xbox for the 360. i called all around the Long beach, ca/extending areas to try and find the best deal. i was a little disappointed to discover that the best i could get was 65 from ebgames at the lakewood mall. i got 65 for the system and 17 for ncaa 06. the good news is that they (like many eb games, gamestops) are getting two shipments, with the the first being 50 systems. however the manager assured me that i would be guaranteed a system no later than a week or two after the first (possibly days not weeks). he told me that they are probably getting closer to 75.. and that first priority pre orderers only have 48 hours to pick it up, and failure to do so, will result in their forfeiting their reserved system.

but the even better news, and the reason im posting this lengthy thing, is that if any of you have broken systems, go to eb games! they gave me 65 for a broken system! what. the. hell. i get as much for a working system as a broken one? so i get a total of about 170. for the broken system, i didnt even have the power cable, instead they accepted the system link as a sub (worker told me that its only worth a dime anyways.) im so hyped for this november.

Do you guys think that the later I wait to sell my Xbox, the less they will give me in return?

I waould assume so because other people are trading them in, so when they start to get more and more, the trade-in value will go down.

Yes, it is the law of supply and demand.

yea i was thinkin the same thing today. and since i didnt get nba 2k6, i figured i might as well trade it in now. i asked about 6 or 7 different eb's and gamestops, all said that the xbox value will be dropping drastically very very soon. i got 65 for mine. so depending on what you think is a good trade in deal, you should prolly think of trading it in soon.
