I've already played the demo about 15 times. And I'm not bored. I've NEVER played a demo that much. This is a no brainer purchase for me, Halo 3 beta or not.

lol I'm the same way. The only demo that got remotely close to this much gameplay from me would probably be the FN round 3 demo

It was posted this morning, but I guess they took it down. Anyhow, they gave it an 8.7 and said it was a ton of fun. Here's a rundown of what I can remember they talked about:

- Called it a GTA clone that goes further than GTA

- Jumping around the city for orbs was very addictive and made for extensive exploring

- Echoed that the draw distance is superb

- Said Jones' experience putting together Lemmings shows in Crackdown for the puzzle-like nature of some missions.

- Said targeting wasn't great and that travel by car should have been made better. The car races (side missions) sort of stink.

Make no mistake - the Corridor will initially be very inviting to an agent. With some of the highest buildings and roomiest interiors in the entire metropolis, this section is a superhero's playground, a place to really put your hard-earned climbing, jumping, running and even shooting skills to the test. FYI, you will need to have the actual disc to participate in the Halo 3 beta, the key is launched from the Crackdown main menu.

According to Gamestop's pre-release list,Crackdown will be delivered to all stores beginning today but is street dated for the 20th. I'm sure someone will find it early at Target, Wal-Mart, etc before the 20th. Happy Hunting.

Forget Target. They now make all sku's invalid until the actual street date. The product won't even ring up at a register.
