WTF..why is it only 8 players online, thats 4 on 4.

This is the first negative feedback I have seen. Its a real bummer to me.

Another review I read said there was 16, while another said 32. Nobody is sure which number is correct.

No way you can have a war-based FPS with only 8 ppl online. That's bullcrap.

Well hopefully its at least 16..32 would be real nice, but 16 is fine with me. 8 is kind of blah. IGN video review said 8 and the negative feedback on gamespots review said "The Bad: Online multiplayer restricted to eight players ; higher pricepoint than its pc counterpart."


I like this though...

The coolest part of the multiplayer action is the KillCam which basically lets you know how you died. Ever been killed but couldn’t figure out how? No more. KillCam shows you exactly who killed you, even if it’s a sniper from 400 meters away.

Grant: On the box, it says 8 players. We have to take into account the lowest common denominator. Player’s internet connections vary so much. If you have a host, who has a lot of bandwidth and the players also have good bandwidth then you could have 16 or more in those good circumstances.

This feature was actually on the first Call of Duty for PC. It's very good.

I'm telling you, if my life wasn't so hectic at work right now, I'd buy a 360 for this game and this game alone. Incredible.

Heh, I thought the best kill was where the victim's helmet went flying off after getting shot in the head with a sniper rifle in the long gameplay movie (0:36-0:38 segment). That one had me yelling when I first saw it.

I play COD2 a lot on PC, and the killcam feature is seldom used on the servers that value realistic gameplay. In a "capture the flag" or "headquarters" game where both sides are trying to protect an objective, it's kind of stupid to be sniped by someone who's hiding and then watch the killcam to figure out where the person who shot you is hiding so you can kill him after you respawn.

It's a cool idea that works very well and looks great, I'm just saying it's not a very useful feature if you care at all about realism.

I agree with Sherik. I wasn't too happy to read about that and hope it's not used in the servers I play on.

Didnt really think about that Sherik...good point. It would actually be bad like you said, hopefully you can turn it off.

I would hate to have a great spot and someone can tell where im at because of the cam.
