That article was wack. I can't believe it said that if you don't have a HDTV you shouldn't buy the system. Plus, they said that the 360 can't play 50's new game? Please...

Wow, leave it up to Fox News to deliver a slanted piece of news.

Lack of games? Yeah, okay. I only need two or three games anyway. 20 launch titles is a lot to me.

The best games come at the end of the life span? I'm not sure about that one. I would think developers are starting to work primary with the 360 rather than the other "older" systems.

Screw the HDTV thing. Of course its going to look better on HDTV, EVERYTHING looks better on HDTV than regular sets.

Whats next? Bill Gates on Bill O'Reilly?

Did anybody read the list of Hot Games? I can understand most of them, seeing how they're on the XBOX, but there's 4 or 5 that are only available on the PSP or DS. Funny stuff, oh well. I'm not sure how many people go to Fox News for their gaming needs anyway.

this was the most stpid ***t I ever read. Don't balme fox, the artile was from the N.Y. Post...The 360/microsoft is forceing you to buy an HDTV, so I haven't read anywhere on how the FCC is forceing all broadcast companys to switch over completely to HDTV broadcasting by the end of 2006 early 2007, so Basicly the FCC will be kinda forceing the US to buy an HDTV.

So in 2006/2007 I wont be able to watch TV on my 32"? (its not an HDTV and sorry for going off-topic)

Whenever the switch is, if you don't have an HDTV, you'd have to get a digitial signal box or something.

I disagree. His main point was that the 360 required more money to enjoy/receive the quality that was there. Well DUH!
If we never "upgraded" as consumers we'd all still be listening to 8 track.
If you want to advance to the next level you have to adapt, period.
Some of his points would hold true for the PS3 as well. Lets see if they have a "Don't buy a PS3" the week before it launches.

I didn't think the article was that bad. I thought they made some good points, but some were just flat out wrong. Also, it might save many from heartache this holiday season trying to find an Xbox 360.

I just want to make it clear that Doug's comments were very positive toward the Xbox 360 in the phone interview he did yesterday with the New York Post. This reporter obviously had an agenda in mind when she contacted us yesterday for a phone interview and took the quotes she wanted for her story. This story does NOT reflect IGN's views at all.

Haha, anyone find it ODDLY suspicious that Vivendi Universal publishes all of Fox's games now....Bulletproof is published by Vivendi. I think they're just trying to sell 50's game which coincidentally comes out on November 22nd.

That's what I got out of that article. I can see how everyone else got something else out of it too. But I think that was the main point. Most parents just hear their kids talking bout what they want and buy it. Without really sitting down and seeing how much a certain thing is, and how it might affect the family after Christmas.
