Originally posted by PdiddyPopThat's what I got out of that article. I can see how everyone else got something else out of it too. But I think that was the main point. Most parents just hear their kids talking bout what they want and buy it. Without really sitting down and seeing how much a certain thing is, and how it might affect the family after Christmas.

Originally posted by ActLikeYouKnow8I would hope the parents would come into contact with more reliable sources than Fox News when dealing with video game purchases.
I'm not going to turn this into a politcal debate, but I like Fox News. People like it some don't, but I think the point of that article was to inform parents. Plus with parenting now a days...when they have kids that are harboring guns going into schools and blowing people away...........and the parents not even knowing they had this planned out...........yeah now a days I really have doubts about parents. So if they can get informed anyway possible is good IMO.President of the Devils Den

Re: FOX News Says No to X360
That review was full of pointless assumptions.
The article has a massive flaw that pretty much negates everything the person was trying to get across. They're assuming everyone is getting rid of their XBOX/PS2/DC to get the new system.
Poor assumption, renders the entire article void.Comment

their answer: not at this point
in the future once they can start developing the sports games/online features, halo and GOW comes out, around that time it'll for sure be worth the money. never thought id be one those guys whod judge a system before it actually came out! i have one reserved though.Comment

Re: FOX News Says No to X360
Of course people here are gonna say this article is complete bullsh*t because they already are hypnotized by the graphics and/or have already put money down for the system.
Reality is, the minimum amount of money that the majority of the people buying X360 will be spending is $450. And that's w/ HDTV. But many casual gamers aren't online looking at the fact that HDTV is HIGHLY recommended for the system, therefore that's not going to stop them from purchasing it unless it is said somewhere where many of our casual gamers read.
I have yet to see how this system performs without HDTV, but from many sources, it's highly recommended. And if these sources are totally correct, MANY MANY people will be underwelmed when they start up their X360 for the first time.
Also, parents don't go online and research this stuff. FOX was really helping parents out with this article. This system IS expensive. Parents need to be prepared.
EDIT: I doubt this article was meant for the hardcore gamers, some of yall need to calm down.Last edited by Ice Cream Truck; 11-18-2005, 11:44 AM.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

Good point. As for me, there has been no launch game out there that makes me wanna get the system right away. I think in a nutsehll, thats what these 2 reports are claiming.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

I want gameplay).
