Anyone else losing enthusiasm for the 360?

I've been so hyped for this...

Then I read that NBA 2K6 is basically the same game.

Now NBA Live gets one of the most [B]brutal[B] reviews imaginable.

Oblivion has been delayed and will be on PC first most likely.

Right there are the only 3 games I was looking forward to.

Maybe Madden...

I don't know. Kind of a let down so far.

Not at all, still plan on rockin it with Madden, Kameo, and PDZ for sure. Might throw in another game or two like PGR3 and COD2.

Not at all, I can't wait to play Madden, Tiger and PGR 3. This is just the beginning of the Next Generation of gaming .. I do not expect perfection on any new system at launch. It takes time to work out all the kinks.

Understandable, but I'm excited. 2k6 is basically the same game with a graphical upgrade, but my xbox gave out and I absolutely loved the game, so I'm loving it. Maddenwill keep me busy with my friends and the guys here at OS. Call of Duty lookss too good to pass up IMO and then PDZ is going to be Halo-esque on multiplayer, and with the hours and hours I spent online with Halo, I'm down too.

Plus, Condemned looks scary as hell, so sign me up

You need to walk away from it for a little bit. I am sure you are reading and dissecting every little tidbit of info you can find. After awhile it ruins the experience. I stopped reading the articles and impressions because of this.

Not at all..if anything its im more anxious..i know I am.

Two weeks ago I wasent even thinking about the 360..then last Saturday I traded in my xbox and everyday its all I can think about. Plus I played COD today and saw some guys playing Madden..I cant friggin wait@!

I'm not hyped up right now because I wont' be getting one at launch. But if I can get a TV and set up in the basement by the end of this year, I'll be hyped BIG TIME by the time I get a 360 early next year.

Nah...I'm actually not reading much.

I don't even know 90% of the games coming out.

More that I like sport games...basketball in particular...and the odd RPG.

Those seem to be fairly poorly recieved so far.

You're reading too much into reviews. I agree with whoever said walk away from it all.

I'm not getting a launch 360. Maybe next year or the PS3. I'm glad I'm not getting one for my own personal reasons but I am kind of excited to hear honest impressions from some of the guys here.

I just hope they're not hyped up impressions just to make themselves feel good. I hope they talk about it honestly.

I'm losing enthusiasm. But only because I got the automated call from Gamestop tonight which said: "You will likely not receive the 360 console until after Christmas." After Christmas?!!

I pre-ordered in June at my Gamestop, and, unfortunately, for reasons I won't get into here, there is just no way I can camp-out this upcoming Monday or Tuesday. I know business is business, but I feel like if I put down my money and pre-ordered back in June, then it's kind of weak that my Gamestop is only getting 12 units and Best-Buys are getting 100s of units that people who may not have even heard about the 360 until last week will get (and pick up multiple copies and sell on ebay at inflated prices - and no, I don't want to get into whether that's right or not, I'm just saying that MS should have figured out a way so that the biggest fans who pre-ordered back in June could get their unit before they sent 100s of units to the huge corporate monster retailers). I know, I know, I'm going to get flamed for some of the things said here . . . but it's still weak.

I'm not sure if I'm going to even bother trying to get one anymore. None of the games excite me that much and I don't have an HDTV, although I may be able to get one on Black Friday. At this point I'm on the fence, I just don't know.

I get more excited with each passing day, actually.

I don't expect any of the launch games to be world beaters. I think a lot of people are expecting too much, too soon, and there is just a coverage overload too.

I was fired up for the PS2 launch, too, and that was knowing the launch lineup of games was crap.

It's more about the promise of things to come that has me excited. Think about the other things besides the games....for the first time ever, wireless controllers are the standard. HD is a huge part of things....Live 360 is going to be unreal, etc. Even the fact that the system can be turned off via remote or the controller is great to me. It is a minor touch, but something I have wanted for a long time, and it's the little touches like that that I can appreciate at first.

This is going to be a killer piece of hardware, and the initial games will be good enough to tide me over until we start getting the real good stuff. I am really looking forward to Madden, even with the negative crap going around. For me, its almost like a bonus game. I already got Madden for Xbox this year, so I have already had my experience with it. This version will be like the icing for me and a glimpse of what should be possible next year and beyond.

I can't wait until Tuesday morning.
