Ive completeley lost enthusiasm as well, there is no game I have to have and now all of a sudden Oblivion is turning into a disaster. FUnny because I remember microsoft doing this with Malice for the Xbox 1 (lets not even get into that nightmare) I was more excited when the ps1 and ps2 came out honestly.

Im excited. I cant wait till monday night. I didnt even preorder till about a month ago and im 4th on the list. I guess alot of people dont think to preorder at Hastings.

Just the complete opposite for me. I put in a vacation day for Monday also. I have no idea why. I guess I just couldn't see myself working when I was going to have the 360 in my hand that night.
I also told my wife to go shopping Tuesday so I could have the house to myself. I might even cut the phone line, not sure yet.

after playing a few kiosk games, i was competely turned off.. i played them on a sumsung HD LCD TV but not even that improved the graphics.. and COD2 looked like a PC game... i was just soooo unimpressed

COD2 looked amazing on the demo system I played. Can't imagine what it will look like on m HDTV.
Simply can not wait.

CV, you have to start getting away from being solely a sports gamer. Try out other games. COD2 looks fantastic.

Me, I've stated before, but I can't stand the xbox for some reason anymore. I'm ready for a change. I'm ready for better graphics and bigger innovations.

I get more excited with each passing day, actually.

I don't expect any of the launch games to be world beaters. I think a lot of people are expecting too much, too soon, and there is just a coverage overload too.

I was fired up for the PS2 launch, too, and that was knowing the launch lineup of games was crap.

It's more about the promise of things to come that has me excited. Think about the other things besides the games....for the first time ever, wireless controllers are the standard. HD is a huge part of things....Live 360 is going to be unreal, etc. Even the fact that the system can be turned off via remote or the controller is great to me. It is a minor touch, but something I have wanted for a long time, and it's the little touches like that that I can appreciate at first.

This is going to be a killer piece of hardware, and the initial games will be good enough to tide me over until we start getting the real good stuff. I am really looking forward to Madden, even with the negative crap going around. For me, its almost like a bonus game. I already got Madden for Xbox this year, so I have already had my experience with it. This version will be like the icing for me and a glimpse of what should be possible next year and beyond.

I can't wait until Tuesday morning.

man I coulnd't agree with you more, I haven't got my self hyped about launch titles at all, I know the games won't blow us away at first, but they will get extreamly better no doubt. Anyway with thats said bring on tuesday...

I've gained more overall. It went down a bit when I heard DOA 4 was delayed then I decided to rent every launch game (even the EA games...at least they don't get money off rentals) but changed my mind on that and I'll skip the crappy reviewed ones.

I'm losing enthusiasm too. There just aren't any games that I really want to play. Yeah, COD2 looks great, but i'm sick of WW2 shooters. The only 360 games I'm really looking forward to are Gears of War, Elder Scrolls IV, Halo 3, and NCAA 06. And none of those are coming out anytime soon. So, I don't think I'll bother buying a 360 until sometime next spring. And that's really annoying because I don't want any of the newer XBOX games either. So, I guess I'm going to be getting some PC games to satisfy my gaming crave.

i lost tremendous enthusiasm for the 360.. i think a lot of things go into that -the way MS decided to release the system- the tremendous number of preorders taken at the EB's/Gamestops, yet only a percentage of those getting them on launch, the fact that the bigger retailers are getting more of the product, the type of "burning" (not "pressed") of the Madden disk (if you turn the disk over, it looks like one you can burn in your computer), the way that they present the games in stores (on nice HDTV's- but of course i dont have the money for a HDTV).. for those of you getting one on launch (or shortly thereafter) enjoy it.. i will continue to use my xbox since now it seems they are coming out with some decent titles.. even right now i am still debating whether to cancel my preorder of the 360 -- besides, i have to start saving for the engagement ring...

I've been so hyped for this...

Then I read that NBA 2K6 is basically the same game.

Now NBA Live gets one of the most [B]brutal[B] reviews imaginable.

Oblivion has been delayed and will be on PC first most likely.

Right there are the only 3 games I was looking forward to.

Maybe Madden...

I don't know. Kind of a let down so far.

I had really hoped that EA and VC and any other sports developers, would not release 2006 titled games for the 360 as it was obvious that every one of these games would suffer in one way or another. This hasn't put a damper on my enthusiasm for the system though. By the start of the second quarter next year I expect the the games will really start to show the power of the system.

I'm still getting a lot of enjoyment out the current systems. I'm playing Half-life 2 on the Xbox right now and its one of the best games I've ever played. I've got about 6 or 7 RPG's on the PS2 that I can play during the next few months.

Once it got to the point where our expectations became so high for these systems. It meant that almost all launch titles would be unable to live up to the hype. If you have a limited range of games that interest you its even tougher.

after playing 6 xbox 360 games today, then enthusiasm for me is at a all time high....


im not even a racing fan....

but PROJECT GOTHOM RACING is SICK! i was so impressed i bought it on the spot.

madden is solid.

cod2 is sick.

ill be happy on monday night
