Re: Xbox 360 Who's got it, where, and how thread...
Seemed to have an influx of 360's in the area a few weeks ago, but its been fairly dry since then. I bought a few during that period and sold them on Ebay. Guess I should have kept one!Comment

I thought this might amuse you bastards....
I just got back from New York today, I went up to take care of some family business... I made a list of the Best Buys and Circuit Citys in the area, and cold-called them to see if they had any 360s in stock... So I start calling around Thursday evening, after I get to my mother's house.... The Best Buy on 86th and Lexington said they had some in stock... From my mother's house to this particular location by train is pretty quick, no more than a half hour... So I get there, and the dude tells me they only have the core version... After some internal debate, I figure I will wait to get the premium version, since I'm pretty sure if I got the core, I'd just upgrade soon anyway... No biggie... The next day, Friday, I'm taking care of some business in New Jersey... As I'm driving across the George Washington Bridge heading back into NY, I call the Best Buys again... When I get to calling the store on 5th Ave. in midtown, the dude answers my question with "Where are you?" I tell him, I'm in my car, heading south on the FDR Drive... He says, OK, I just asked because I don't want people coming here disappointed... They've got some premiums in stock AT THAT MOMENT... COOL!!!
As I figure it, I've got about 15-20 minutes to get from where I'm at (116th Street) downtown to the midtown Best Buy... It's like 1:30 in the afternoon, and traffic should be minimal.... I can be there in plenty of time, right? WRONG!!!! Traffic backs up like a motha, and the 15 minute trip turns into 45 minutes... I call the Best Buy back when I get off the FDR Drive, and guess what.... They are all sold out... Talk about being pissed... What pissed me off even more was that the traffic delay was for road construction... Who does road construction in the middle of the freaking day?!?!?
I drove back home to North Carolina without a 360, and I will call the two local Best Buys in the AM, since I'm off from work...Comment

That might be my last resort... But as far as the bundles, I really only play sports games, so the other games might be overkill... Although I can always trade them in or sell them... I'll see how it goes this week... I think I'll be able to snag a premium system around here.Comment

do like I did, buy the bundle and take everything that you don't want back to Wal-Mart. They will give you a gift card if you don't have a receipt. If you buy it from wal-mart.com, you can get cash. if you only play sports games, I don't know if I would recommend buying one right now though.Originally posted by TarHeelManThat might be my last resort... VICTORY IS MINE!!!!
Checked the Best Buy 360 locator, and saw that the Best Buy near my house had some in... Snuck out of work, drove over, picked up a premium system, and got back to my desk..... I didn't pick up a game, although I was tempted to pick up Fight Night... I will probably wait for College Hoops next week.Comment

LOL, sounds like my story exactly... checked online and snuck out of work!
With me not exactly informing the missus that I was going to buy a 360, I tried to keep the damage to a minimum... so I just finally picked up a game and another wireless controller the other night
(nba2k6)
Now just need GRAW and the wireless adapter and the damge will be complete!!!!

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D."Comment
