It could have been worse. Could have been like me, wait 12 hours outside in the freezing cold, and still not get one...

I stood in line for 8 hours at Target in 15 degree weather. However, the genious next to me in line at about 3 am says to me, "Hey, do you think Target will do anything if I start a bonfire out here." I was like --"Probably, but it might be worth it." He gets up, drives home, comes back and starts a little campfire on Target's sidewalk. No one from Target came out for a about an hour to say anything. Everyone inside just watched him build it and laugh. They finally told him to put it out at about 5.

Anyone else have a ****** in line like that.

Oh, me and my buddy got 16 and 17th premium 360 out of 18. I was pretty relieved to have the ordeal over.

I waited 8 hours at Target last night only to be 15th in a line and they only had 14 premiums, so im stuck with the core and a search warrant for a hard drive.

Well I started out driving around last night around 8pm. I thought I would go to this Target in a small town about 20 miles away. Well, they only had 8 premiums and 6 cores, I was 14th in line but didnt want a core so I went to other stores back in my town and they all had lines and small amounts of units. I was kicking myself for not getting that core, but I thought I would try Costco at 4am. I got there and I was 70th in line, but they has 120 systems, yes 120. They gave out tickets at 6:30 and last ticket was given out at around 7:30. The cool thing was they sold the units at 8:30 before opening the store to the public at 10. I got the costco bundle (premium-kameo-wireless controller-plug and charge kit) for $479. Some people were turned away because they were wanting to purchase a membership while waiting in line and Costco said no, you must already have a membership.

From reading this and other threads, it sounds like Costco won the allotment war. They really got a crapload compared to most everywhere else I've heard numbers for.

Alright.

So I had called up Sears and KBToys last night, figuring I'd found the 2 most out of the way vendors near me. Both assured me that they had Xbox 360s and would be selling them when they opened.

So I go up to the mall and get to Sears, only to be soon told that they don't actually have any 360s and wouldn't be getting them in until later in the day. Lying pieces of ****. They took down my name and number and promised to call me. Sears opened at 8 AM, and that wasted some time.

I then headed over to the KBToys in the same mall and waited outside there with a few other people. We just talked about stuff until the store opened at 10, like what games we were getting and how we had all called the store to make sure they were getting 360s. 10 AM comes and goes; the employee finally opens up at 10:15 only to tell us that KBToys isn't even carrying Xbox 360s. Lying pricks.

By then already in a state of fury, I stop by Sam Goody on the way back to Sears, only to be told that they "might" have some 360s available, but that they'd be requiring customers to purchase a total of $600 worth of merchandise (including the 360's cost) to buy one. After basically telling that guy to go **** himself, I head back to Sears, figuring I'll just sit in the store all afternoon waiting for their shipment with the 4 Xbox 360s. Of course, by then, there's already 5 people sitting in the electronics section waiting for the shipment as well. After flipping out at the employee for a little bit, I leave in a rage.

And I am still infuriated, and will be boycotting Sears and KBToys, although I never buy anything from there anyway.

I went to TRU two hours before it opened even though I already had a preorder with them. When I pulled up the manager was at the door and handed out his last two tickets to two people who were standing out there and said he had already given out his "first come first serve" tix at around 5am to whoever waited outside.

So my GF and I sat in the car for two hours. A line of about 35 formed and I jumped on at about 15. When they let us in and told everyone that you had to have either a preorder or ticket, everyone flipped out. I wasn't in the best neighborhood and I was the first one to get it even though I was 17th on line. I really thought I was going to get jumped, but I told my GF to start the car so we can get the hell outta there.

Long story short, I got it and I jumped in the car like Dukes of Hazzard. I really felt like I got away with a crime because I had no business being in that part of town, yet I was the only one who got a 360.


BTW, it was def worth it.

I waited in line at my local Wal Mart this morning. The store opened at eight, which was great because I didn't have to be to school until 9:40. They only have eighteen premium systems and I was number nineteen(would have had a core) but left because I didn't want a core.

Then headed on over to Superstore. I waited there for a bit and got inside to find out that they had just sold their last XB360...TO THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME!

I called both Roger's Videos in town(they are getting shipments of ysstems to buy) but they've yet to receive them, so if I'm lucky I be able to nab one within the next couple of days.
