If you buy a core system can you still purchase a wireless controller or are you stuck with having to get four wired ones?

battery pack. I've never used the batteries that came with it. I've just saved them for when my wireless mouse needs a fresh new set.

i initially charged mine on the PC USB port and it works fine. FF is seeing things or has a defective controller, I have also used the regular batteries and the battery pack. Just take it back and get another one.

I just bought a new wireless controller and am using regular batteries. The Xbox button is fully lit and flashing, but it doesn't function. Anybody else have this problem?

Found out how to do it.

[11. How do you know which controller number you’re using on wireless controller?

Around the Xbox Guide Button, the Ring of Light has four quadrants, on both the controller and the Xbox 360 console. Clockwise, the upper left quadrant is controller number one, upper right quadrant is controller number two and so on. When you connect a wireless controller to the Xbox 360 for the first time, the Xbox 360 will assign an available port to your controller automatically. Alternatively, you can also press the "connect" button on the console (the circular button right after the memory slots), to enable an “auto-detect” function.]

I "auto detected" it by pressing the very little round button just below the tray.
