Vertical. It would be pretty hard getting the wired controller in there if it was horizontal also the wire would be oddly placed. Every special or tour of Microsoft or something like that I've seen it's been vertical in there and I figure they'd know what's better.

It says in the manual if it falls and hits someone it could cause serious damage. I thought that was funny to mention in there.

Seriously people. To tip the 360 you have to grab it and knock it over. And loading games is not hard at all. Vert looks so sweet!

Vertical. Fits perfectly in the side of my entertainment center and, as others have noted, you'd need an earthquake to tip the thing over.

Re: How is your 360 sitting?

Mine got tipped over today! My GF brought here cat over, don't know why and the damn thing was running around my house. As she was leaving I went looking for it and the freaking thing was right by it. This is also my fault also as earlier I was moving stuff around and left it too close to the edge but anyway she jumps down and her tail catches one of the cables and it falls! But I freaken dive for that thing and catch it right as it hits the ground. No scuffs, no nothing, works perfect. I might even make a top ten play nominee on SC tonight.

Vertical..........it just looks to damn nice vertical!!

It almost looks more "next gen" when vertical. LOL

It has its very own cabinet under my tv.........so there's no way anybodys tipping it over.

This is my setup (My GF is playing GUN). A little messy at the moment.

Oh and that big gay round thing on the top left side is a decoration my GF bought.

GUN is actually really good. Its alot like GTA but in a Western setting. Its not just a run and shoot em up type of game. You can ride on a horse, herd cattle, play Texas Hold Em, do side missions for the Pony Express etc.... Its a very fun game IMO and the story line is very interesting. Reminds me alot of the movie Young Guns. Kept me up late the last few nights.

not at all.....it's nothing like the mini ps2....it has two little lips at the bottom of the disc tray to hold it into place....microsoft thought of everything with this beautiful machine......i was worried about having it vertical because of the difficulty of putting the discs in but it's easy as 1, 2, 3.....just hold it by the edges and slip it right in place.....

Does having it vertical increase the risk of scratching your disc? Does it hurt the DVD drive in any way? I love the way it looks vertical, but those are my only concerns.

I haven't had any scratches so far. The only problems I have heard causing scratches is people moving the 360 while a disc is in there spinning.
