All that grimy 2 people holding lines for 20 kats really don't fly right for me. Should be a proper balance of 1=1. Still, seems like the best bet would be to have your systems bought online the day that there are systems shipping in to a Best Buy. I already gave up. I was going to do my joint but I got other expenses. Online seems like the best bet on the real. I'm definitely wondering how the Sony launch goes.......

There are a lot of mad consumers.
Lets see if Sony launches in the spring. Personally, I hope not because we might have the same MS problem where there won't be enough systems at launch.
while i do think that sony will launch sometime this coming spring.. the best bet for them is to not allow eb/gamestop to take as many pre-orders, therefore they can deliver all of those. That way the only people that are without are the ones who refuse to pre-order anything because they think they can just go out and find it.
my local eb took about 100 pre-orders per microsoft, so i am thinking that maybe 50 would suffice for sony.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

That'll never happen. EB/Gamestop makes money off pre-sells of systems by having that cash in the bank with interest not to mention it lets them know how to allocate their inventory. Also, some people who preorder do not ever pick up their system so they have to go to the next person down on the list. When I preordered Xbox 360 for example I was told no way I would get a launch system but thanks to people cancelling I moved up from 50 something to 35.
The problem is not preorders anyways, the problem is that not enough consoles were produced for PS2 or 360 launch either one. Limiting peoples abillity to preorder wouldn't produce more systems. The only problem that would really solve is that it would give people who preordered the comfortable knowledge they were definitely getting one on launch, which if you preorder soon enough, is the case anyways.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

yes they do make money but most people will only put down the minimum of $50 to hold one
what would happen if sony limited the number of pre-orders is that they would be able to fill demand. People who pre-order in my mind should be the first to be taken care of. Its not right that people who pre-ordered a 360 in june are still waiting while microsoft puts the consoles into other stores. When eb rings in a pre-order that is a sale for them and microsoft, so microsoft stocks stores such as best buy with consoles to increase sales figures. they all do it. its called businessI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

On a related note I finally sold my Xbox 360 Premium on Ebay to a guy in New Jersey for $670.00. Not much profit at all after ebay fees and all that, but I can't complain about $150-160 profit (split 3 ways though as I had 2 other people go in on it with me).Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
