Actually, the game is near completion so the rumor mill has it. They are just really making sure the game is polished. It will come out when the PS3 is released to take away some of the PS Steam. Bungie has said that they could release it, but will take the time to tweak the gameplay system, and add the "extras" that will make the game so much different than any other videogame experience.

Can't remember where I read that, but it should be pretty sweet.

Very Possible actually, so now I want the PS3 to come out as soon as possible. Seriously though, they were probably hard at work on Halo 3 by the time 2 came out and it could be near complete.

Halo 2 had the BEST console online system ever. The temporary party thing was amazing.

I think the controls are great b/c nearly anyone can pickup and play. With PDZ I was mediocre after a few hours of playing. I wanted friends to come over and play but they couldn't b/c it was too hard to control.

I would rather the 360 have a price cut the day PS3 comes out, but Halo 3 would be nice.

To me, I didnt understand the hype around Halo..I didnt even own or play the first on one xbox until about two months before Halo 2 came out..I played it a few times at a friends house in deathmatches and had a blast..I also bought into the hype and was at the midnight release for Halo 2.

It is, to me the greatest online game I have ever played. I couldnt tell you how many hours I had racked up playing that game. I pretty much could hop on anytime I wanted and have a entertaining game. Countless nights I stayed up playing Halo 2 when I should of been in bed.

The reason why there is so much hype around Halo is the fact that its the only game MS can brag about/has. This is the reason you see all the hootin and hollerin about it/people with only 1 console.

It's also better than pretty much every game on GC and PS2, minus God of War, RE:4 and a few other select titles.

Halo is reason enough to own an xbox..Its the most fun I have ever had with a videogame and it has REPLAY VALUE! I bought it last year at the launch still play it relgiously with my 360 now ofcourse. I havent even played the one player mode yet.....crazy, I beat the first halo thoe.

I agree about the replay value. I never even started a first player mode in Halo 2..all my tme was online.

Goldeneye 64 is the best FPS......

Halo is overrated though.I love FPS but to me halo is just another FPS to me.
