They ruined Halo 2's single-player having to switch between MC and that stupid-*** alien.

Kojima pulled the whole play the player stunt in 3 years before Halo 2 and judging from players reactions it worked. Even if people hate MGS2, it's still a tech masterpiece and you'll start to get the story if you play through it again It wasn't just Raiden, this feeling of being manitpulated didn't stop until you turned the actual game off(if you stayed AFTER the end)

What Bungie cooked up is quite a few levels lower. For one, it's been done. And it didn't seem to have an overall purpose.

That doesn't even mentioned the hold-your hand levels and other flaws that make it obvious they didn't even finish the 1-p.

Hey, don't forget that the worst part about playing as the slug was that you were pretty much stuck with the alien weapons. Those orb blasters got old relatively fast and considering it's their own technology the aliens should have been able to reload those stupid things. Master Chief was a complete badass... the Arbiter was just a giant snivelling insect with a death wish.

Same. You got a point, halo 1 single player was/is fun, halo 2's is not. I play multiplayer w/people all the time, but Halo 2's single player felt too much like halo's and that made it rather boring and unimpressive. And then what, find out there are like 5 more halo planets? I really truly hope they don't recycle any levels from 1 and 2 into halo 3.

MS doesn't have a AAA knock-out franchise other than Halo... .
