Originally posted by ExtremeGamerI would venture to say PS2 sold near 10 mil worldwide, and probably close to 4 mil first year in the US.Comment

Re: December NPD sales numbers...
Originally posted by BlzerI'm on my second PS2, but it's only because when I once went to my friend's house, we set the PS2 up high on his shelf or something. Anyway, you know what happens when your controller cord just ain't long enough for you... you have to tug on it. And uh...
Funniest posts today I think. Thanks for that one.......Comment

"Yeah and people replace their PS2 sometimes (but when you call Sony they fix your PS2 or send you a replacement for free..)."
Not any of the 3 times I've had to call to find out what the **** was wrong with it. All 3 times they told me I had to pay to send it in,pay to have it sent back and then pay $150-220 for repairs. Maybe it's differnt in the US but that's not how it was for me. I'm on my 4th or 5th,made it so I only actually had to pay for 2 though.Comment

That's a flat out lie or he knows the Sony President because I worked for Sony Tech support in Florida and your personal experience is what i'm familiar with. Rarely ever are things given away at Sony!Last edited by Rodster; 01-18-2006, 02:58 AM.Comment

When I sent mine in over a year ago, they said they'll fix it for free but I had to pay the S&H. I think they sent me the same system, just fixed. I have no clue about replacements.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: December NPD sales numbers...
I got mine replaced for free. I just voiced how pissed I was because it broke due to no fault of my own well after the warranty had expired and threatened to switch to Xbox. I also threw in a sad story about how I was a loyal Playstation consumer since day 1 and was one of the many who slept outside a store to get a PS2 on launch.Comment
