I actually had a dream yesterday where I was being chased by a Big Daddy (hmmm yes you cna easily twist that into something adult oriented). It seemed silly when I woke up, but creepy during the dream. I think this may be one of the best gaming holiday seasons I can ever remember.

      Re: Bioshock (PC/360)

Managed to get the game early and the game does not disappoint. It's great. Playing with the lights off and the sound up, there were several times I nearly jumped out of my seat. The polish on the game is top notch.

The telekinesis plasmid is awesome. Nothing like stopping a missile or explosive in it's tracks and then returning it to sender.

The only thing that I don't like at the moment is that when you die, the damage you dished out to your enemies stays in tact so if you're battling a big daddy, you can take a little off his health, then die, and rinse and repeat. It takes some of the tension away from the battles and doesn't give you such a great sense of accomplishment when you kill a daddy but died ten times in the process.

There's also this navigation arrow that tells you where to go. Thankfully you can turn it off as it made the game a little too easy.

I was also surprised by the amount of religious imagery in the game and am kind of surprised this hasn't been mentioned in any of the reviews I've read. I can see some conservatives taking offense to some of this. I'm thinking this is what got Jack Thompson all stirred up.

It's 2:00 in the morning and I want to keep on playing. After five hours with it, it's the best game I've played since Gears and when it's all said and done, I might like this one more.

        one more thing...

Once every one starts playing, the big question is going to be what to do with the little sisters? Do you Harvest or Save?

If you want to figure this out on your own, stop reading now...

        ********POSSIBLE SPOILERS****************************

After several hours of playing this is what I've found.

If you want to become as powerful as you can as quickly as you can, Harvest them. You'll receive twice the Adam and this will allow you to buy more plasmids and have more slots to utilize them. It will be the people who harvest them that will then complain the game is too easy. This will lead to some good times though because the things you'll be able to do by linking a few plasmid attacks will be wild. Light a stuffed animal teddy bear on fire with incinerate, use telekinesis to launch it at an enemy to set him on fire which will cause him to run to water where you can then zap the water with electricity to fry the enemy. Fun stuff.

If you want more of a challenge, save them. If will make for far more interesting decisions later in the game in terms of how you level up your character. And if you save them all, there will be 100 gamer points waiting for you at the end of the game. However, I think doing this will make the game play more like a standard shooter as you'll stick to the guns more- most likely the shotgun to take out the bad guys.

Played the demo for the 360 and thought it was great! Probably gonna get it for the PC though since I'd prefer keyboard+mouse controls for this game.

              I'm playing on the 360.

Barcardi- didn't think what I posted was a spoiler as the game info I wrote about can be figured out by reading the instruction book. Sorry...

                no worries tinman.

I wasnt sure either, but when i started reading that "if you want to figure this out on your own...", i stopped right there.

I am not leaving anything to chance with this game. It's almost impossible reading other forums without some nitwit posting a fake ending, real ending, etc.

So just for the sake of sanity, if anyone is gonna post something game related, be careful. The OS staff appreciates it.

I reeally don't know what this game is about or what type of game, but everything I have read from you guys make me want to try it.

Anyone want to give me a quick run down on what the game is all about?

Imagine finding yourself in the middle of this underwater paradise that has gone terribly wrong. Take that add the most incredible atmosphere and sound mix it with the many different ways you can approach this shooter and you have yourself a pan galactic gargleblaster called Bioshock.

Or you could just try the demo.

Download the demo, shouldn't take you too long to download it. Then you'll know what type of game it is.

I've just seen the pics. I did get the LE version though as well as the CE of Two Worlds. I don't know whay though as I never put the extra stuff (Statues etc) out on display.

Walmart should have some if you get there in time.

                                Pretty big box:
