Is this when your Wayne or in a mech? With a mech, it takes a few second from the point that you jump in to start moving. If it take anywhere longer than a second to run in a direction, your controller is messed up. I haven't had any unresponsive issues with my controller.

I see the complaints with the story, I only did the first 3 missions, but I had no clue what was going on, and just felt like I was going from A to B with no real reason why. Very much on rails, sluggish controls, and no direction to what you are really supposed to do adds up to a mediocre game to me. I like it, I think because it's new. But after trying online last night, it felt completely slapped on. It doesn't have that "Gears of War" pulling you in, or Rainbow's fantastic online play, and fun offline play.

I would give it probably a 7.5. It's good, not great, but the more I play, the more I get bored running through the missions.

It's also rather easy, I may start over on Hard, medium is a breeze.
I'm most bothered by the camera which then affects the controls. I really don't know what they were thinking. Like EG pointed out, there is no direction so you can really be running around for an extra 15+ minutes not knowing where you should head off to.

The further I get into the game, you can tell that the story did get lost in translation. I think subtitles with the Japanese voices would have been a better option.

Yes, if this was released in November it would have been lost in the schuffle. I'm still enjoying the game for what it is, I've played games that are 100x worse.

I agree, it's not horrible. It's a good game. I'm just not blown away by it or really having a lot of fun with it. It seems like you can't really die, you get shot, blown up, etc, and your health regenerates faster than I can sneeze.

Being released in January was a good move though, as it'll sell, and be a "hit". There's nothing for it to compete with and people have gift cards, etc to use.

It is very hard to die because what happens when you get blow up is that your T-Eng goes down fast when you get hit or an explosion occurs. Then your life bar starts depleting once your T-Eng is at 0. I have died about 3-4 times since I have been also trying to defeat the mid bosses which requires a little bit of work to get done.

The main feeling I got was that while it wasn't horrible it could have been much better. There are so many cool elements to it that it is a shame that they didn't do more. I am surprised by how the story came out, especially after how great of a job Capcom did with RE 4's story.

Capcom should have used the Resident Evil 4 engine, unless that is what is being used here but completely moddified. I would never switch what works and the RE4 engine was something nice.

Why the mediocre reviews for this game? If the beginning is anything like the rest of the game then it's awesome...love it so far!

It's a good game, just some things aren't polished.

Well you should have, I have no complaints. Game is great and after I complete it, I will go back through it, to unlock all the achievements. And then go through it again on the hardest level. And defeat all those damn worms.......Those Big MOFO's really angered me...stopping me from getting my 2nd achievement.

Game beautiful and the controls are fine....who cares about the whopsided story....The action and the level are great....

WTF...pick it up...put that PS3 down and pick up Lost Planet.....after get online and get murked on RB6....

Some people complained about the camera but I haven't had a problem.

So far this game rocks. On mission 3.

Don't let the mediocre reviews sour you on this game, if you love a great action game with fabulous graphics then this is a no brainer. Fastly turning into one of my fav 360 games.

I don't really get the complaints about the camera. You can somewhat zoom in with every gun, you can go 1st or 3rd person. You can use the bumper buttons (i think) to do a quick 90 degree turn. I like it. To each their own I guess.

Wait till you get to the later missions, the game only starts too look much more beautiful. The smoke effects, are the best that I have seen yet on any videogame every released.

I'm starting to get used to the camera the more that I play, but there are times where it can be a pain.

Those reviewers that bashed this game are a bunch of morons. They complained about framerate issues and there are times where you get stuck in the snow. The framerate issues can occur when there are mass amounts of explosions which I can understand. Not once have I ever gotten stuck in the snow.

One thing that does need to be fixed in the sequel is the loss of direction in some levels. Your running aournd for an extra 15 minutes at times trying to figure out where to go next.

I'm also digging the mechs that have been added to the game, there are always plenty of them to hop in.

Other than that, a solid experience.
