I haven't really had a problem getting lost. When you get to one of those posts and have to tap B to activate, the light points which direction you are supposed to go.

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
There was a level or two where I did get lost, LOL! This game only gets better and better as you move along. I'm on Mission 8 right now and boy does the non snow level look very beautiful. I think that the attention to detail by Capcom is very important, I really like how the snow piles on to Wayne.Comment

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
if so
*SPOILER*
get into the VS... and attach the rocket launcher to one of the arms... wait for him to do the spinning thing and keep avoiding it by dashing with the Y button... when he falls, make sure you're looking at his yellow/orange tail... blast away with the gatling and rockets and repeat till it's dead... and make sure you shoot those lil pod thingies for more thermal energy.

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
I really like that you have a few choices on the mechs during a level and wait till Mission 8 where the whole level is spread out with them for you to choose which one to hop in on, and with so many mech battles you will get to hop into several.Comment

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
Just started playing the game this morning - hopefully the game won't get slept on because it's definitely an awesome game. Having a ton of fun w/it (only on the second level). Jumped online to try it out - was chaotic but fun. Hard to identify enemies vs. teammates, so many weapons it's hard to distinguish what's what. But I think they did a decent job w/it. Great gameHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
I'm about 11 missions in and I am loving the game. This is some of the most intense actoin I have experienced in a while (right up there with CoD). There have been sections where so much has been going on, my pulse was racing and my adrenaline flowing and there was chaos everywhere! Total blast!!!
The controls do take some getting used to, but once you adjust I think it plays great. For those complaining that the game controls sluggish, especially when aiming, remember that when you are aiming, unlike in other games, the camera will not immediately move in the direction you are aiming, BUT, your targeting reticle DOES move immediately. It takes a while to adjust to this system. I believe you can change this in the options if you do not like it, so that the camera will immediately move with the reticle.
Also, in order to really master the game you MUST get used to using the bumpers to turn your character 90 degrees. This is essential. Once you get used to it, it becomes second nature (I was playing some GoW yesterday and I was actually trying to pull this off).
Graphically the game continues to impress with every stage. The game runs insanely smooth no matter how much is happenig at once (and many times, ALOT is happening at once). The explosions, smoke and effects are also top notch. I love all the variations of VS mech suits and think they add an extra layer to the game.
Alright, enough rambling, I feel like playing now . . .Comment

Re: Lost Planet (Xbox 360)
I guess there are 11 missions, and the rest are achievements for the coins/target marks that you find, one for online play, and one for beating the game in Extreme Mode:
