my impressions:



graphics - doesn't look AS good and clean as GRAW but it still looks great.. i think that's because of all the destructable enviroments and things that go on in the background


controls - very n00b friendly... once u get your mind out of the GRAW mindstate and learn to use the L trigger for cover, it becomes SIMPLE... repelling is nice too

cover system - doesn't take much getting used to at first, moving left and right thru cover can seem odd at some angles, but when you get the hang of it... it's niiiiiiiiice


commands - simple like GRAW... either go full assault or infiltrate... you can have your teammates cover one door while you go to the other, and then have them bust thru the door and either throw a flash grenade, or smoke, then clear out the room together...beautifully put together


AI - i played on realistic and it's VERY hard... cpu can spot your limbs and attack it from distances (if ur not covered well).. teammates are smart too... won't leave you frustrated like GRAW at times (from what i've played)




Bottom Line... this demo alone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lock Down


online is going to be CRAZY... wasn't really gonna give this game a chance with GoW coming, and COD3 a week after, but i think i might pass up on COD3 for this.

Here are some quick impressions. Very nice looking game, the Vegas strip is SICK, and the Luxor is behind you (my fav hotel). Controls took some getting use to, I kept hitting B to crouch, throwing a grenade at my feet...DOH! I love the immersion though, it feels like you are in the middle of a fire fight. The cover system is great, this is going to be a monster on Live. WOW

Sounds like a whole lot of fun... I'll probably pass on the demo, so I'll be blown away when the game hits... I can't wait.

Oh, and the health system seems to be just like COD2. But there's a realistic mode, not sure if that changes it.

it takes longer for your health to come back in realistic mode, but you also die from less hits

My only concerns at this point are teammate AI and the health system. Ubi Soft games have always had frustrating team AI. I can probably deal with the health system as long as it's not too Halo-esque. Does anyone know if you can use Realistic Mode or whatever in multiplayer?

The health system isn't anything to worry about IMO. A grenade, you die. A few shots, you die. It's really nice.

If it's similar to CoD, I can deal with it. The team AI doesn't worry me as much since I spend most of my time online.

Yeah, if anything, you can't take as many hits as COD

I'm an online player, but I'd like to get some life out of the single player, if possible.

Interesting, I think it probably has the best graphics that I have seen of any 360 game. Haven't gotten much else time in it only to see it looks fantastic graphically.

Does it compare to Shanghai in Splinter Cell? That level is absolutely beautiful. Definately 100% next gen. If Vegas is rendered as well as that was,then I'll be happy.
