Did you plug the TK into the computer before installing the computer?

I installed the XChange 360 program earlier today and I just got back from BB because I hadn't picked up a mem. card yet. I just now plugged it in and clicked on the Backup button under the 360 Memory Card blade. When I did, it gave me that message.

I have no clue, but maybe format the memory card? I got mine used from Gamestop, so it was probably all ready formated once, and this may not work at all, who knows....

Did your PC do a Hardware Found and then install for the new hardware?

After going to 9 stores today looking for a hard drive made me want to give up and order one online. I decide to go to this run down Walmart. When i am looking for the hard drive I don't see it, but then i see it kinda of hidden in the glass display.Out of all places I never thought I would find my hardrive there.

That's what I was going to ask.

Sounds like he needs to install the drivers off the disc that came with the Xchange. I did the same thing. Installed the software, yesterday morning, but didn't get my memory card until yesterday evening. When I inserted the mem. card I got the message from my PC "new hardware found", so I proceeded to install the drivers from the little disc. Loaded and transfered FK's NCAA rosters without a single problem as well.

I didn't need to tell the PC where to look for drivers. Guess it found them on disc right away.(Never took disk out).

Yeah, I installed the drivers off of the disc. It said that my new hardware was ready to be used and said someting about a Microsoft Memory Unit so I am pretty sure it is installed correctly.

i was having the same problem, you know how your pc will make a kinda ding-ding sound when you unplug or plug in a usb device, you need to fiddle with the card inside the adapter until you hear that sound. i know it sounds crazy but i think the thing is so cheaply made that the contacts inside the adapter don't touch the contacts inside the card very well. this worked for me after two days of going crazy trying to figure the thing out.

I hear the ding-ding sound every time I plug and unplug the Mem Card and it still gives me the message. I've tried wiggling it around and it doesn't work still. I think I installed something wrong or I got a defective product.

Aright, my product is defective. A did it exactly how TJ said on my Windows 98 comp. and it gives me the same error message. I guess I'm gonna call Customer SUpport and find out how to get a new one.

Thank God! I finally figured it out. I had to uninstall and re-install the drivers for the Mem. Card and uninstall and re-install the XChange program. Off to put my rosters on NCAA CH!

                                1. You install the software

                                2. You plug the unit and your memory card into the USB port.

                                3. You immediately make a back up of your memory card. This will create a X360 Memcard Images folder in My Documents.

                                4. You cut and paste the .txt file and the .z36 file that you want to copy onto your memory card into the X360 Memcard Images folder.

                                5. Select the file in Xchange 360 and copy it onto your memory card.

                                6. Copy the contents of the memory card to the XBox 360 hard drive by using the dashboard.
