Originally posted by hulkster29is it me, or does the main character look like Depp's "Blow" character???.. hehe -- the one thing i like about Driver than TC is that is expansive to drive around in - can go into Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, & NJ rather than staying on Manhattan.. however TC has gotten all the streets down correctly in Manhattan.. pretty cool some of the features they added - like Shea & Yankee Stadiums, etc..
They recreated everything to a tee. There were a few lockups here and there which I didn't experience but others did. The game was way too dark and there was no way to brighten it unless you fixed it on your TV's brightnes which defeats the purpose. Some of the vehicles really controlled bad. I like the concept of being a cop and busting others. I think this is where GTA has gone stale, always being a criminal.
Rockstar should take the GTA series in a new direction for one game to see how they fair. Create a GTA, except your a cop.Comment

Re: Driver or True Crime???
I got TC: NY LE, new, for 16 bucks at the blockbuster down the street. I would definitely advise against it. I enjoyed the first one but this one isn't that good.
The picture is really dark for some reason. Lights on the AI traffic sometimes doesn't work, sometimes your lights when you turn on your siren don't work, the controls are clunky, their is alot of flickering of street lights that makes playing the game worse because it makes it that much darker.
Overall a very buggy game. It had alot of potential. Maybe it'll be fully realized on next gen. I shutter to think how bad the regular edition was if the LE was the better of the two.
I called BB the other day and I can get 12 for it, so I am going to trade it in. Like I said, I'd avoid it.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment
