Re: Xbox 360 Intercooler
Originally posted by FootballForeverI do here where your coming from EG, why would anybody have to buy a cooling device for a $400 system that has fans to cool the system already.. I do hear on this, but I did a test when I first got the intercooler and Man Was I shocked, I played the system withoout the IC for about an hour, and the system was pretty warm, not hot, but warm. I then played for hour with the IC and was I suprised how cool the system was, the IC is the truth, it really works well. I just think it won't hurt to keep the system as cool as possible, and my Apartment gets hot in the Summer, so it will payoff for me.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Intercooler
Originally posted by ExtremeGamerAs long as you can justify your money spent, that's all that matters. My house has A/C, so I'm not worried about heat in the summertime. Like I said, I've played my system for 3-4 hours straight before and felt it, not even hot, just luke warm. The power brick has barely any heat coming off it at all. My cordless phone's plug in is hotter and it's on 24/7 behind my leather couch. So again, not worried in the least.Comment

Also don't be so quick to jump on your system. There are several games out there like Madden360 and NBA2K6/360 where some users have reported lockups and system freezes.
Make sure it's not a game causing the problem first.Comment

I get lock ups on NBA 2k6 and College Hoops... but it's odd how it happens.
Say i just played some GRAW or Oblivion... i'll put in 2k6 and when it boots up the game will freeze with in the first couple minutes. Then I power down and restart and no problems with the Baseketbal after that. But it does that on both games, but only these games. it's quite odd. Now if I had been playing 2k6 and then stop playing for the night and start playing it the next day, no lockups. I think it's a cache thing that VC needs to work out.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Originally posted by ExtremeGamerSee, I can play a game. The Intercooler does nothing for me. If it cools your system, good for you guys. I won't own it as my system doesn't even get hot.
And actually talk to Metropolis, he seems to be buying more games than me recently...LOL
i'm not going to admit it, but i've bought all the games that came out this month. Sad, I know... i just haven't gotten around to playing them all. Between Oblivion and Top Spin, it's like I can't get past that....
So Far Cry, Blazing Angels, Burnout, etc.. are sitting there. Crying. Depressed that they aren't getting spun like a spin doctor singing crappy 90s power pop rock. "two princes" to each their own. it's like Vito on the sopranos. poor guy.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

where do you have you system at?
i've noticed that if the right side and that back doesn't get enough flow my system heats up pretty hard.
now that i've got that intercooler it's reallly helped to keep it cool.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Like Zeke says, there are only 2 games spinning in his system and same with mine, Oblivion and NBA2K6. I've played a bit of Far Cry which isn't that bad of a game, the more I play the game the more I see all of the issues that people complain about. I can't even get into Rumble Roses anymore, should have listened to Extreme on that one. I will never learn.
This week I'm picking up MLB2K6 for sure and tweening between Tomb Raider and Battlefield 2.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Intercooler
Originally posted by UNC_PeteIts in my entertainment system that has both the back and front wide open in the space it is in. It's like 3 feet deep and 3 feet wide. I read some kid put 5 poker chips on each corner of his system and didn't freeze again lol but I don't think I should have to even think about going to that..
It's worth a shot.
Just try and keep the sides of your system as open as they can be since that's where the air is getting mainly sucked in.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
