It was never 11/14, it's 11/12. Ship date is 11/7, all depends on if a store will sell it or not.

You asked that same question last week... LOL just messing.

Over the weekend I was at 2 Gamestops, I asked both for the heck of it and they told me 11/7, I was just kind of confused.

It ships 11/7 from Gamestop's computers. If you go to Gamestop.com, it's the same there. Gears of War website has emergence day as 11/12. So if the store sells it, joy, if not, it'll be out on the 12th. Confusing, yes.

Yeah, not sure why MS picked that day as 'Emergence Day', rather than sometime during the week. From what I've read on other boards, Gears is not street-dated for the 12th, so the stores should be able to sell as soon as they arrive in stock.

The date in Blockbuster's comp. is the 10th, a Friday like when most games are released, and once we get it in on that day we can sell it.

Stopped in at EB tonight and preordered. They still list drop day as the 7th, possibly with a midnight launch.

Also, is anyone else going to EB's pre-emergence day party this Saturday? Starts at 9pm. Supposed to have various prizes, one of which is rumored to be faceplates. I'm pretty stoked about it. Guy at EB said to be their early, so I may be their around 6 or 7. Taking the GF with me. She'll be thrilled... :wink:

I pre-ordered a bunch of games in full today, Gears of War being one of them. I was told the 7th as well. Too many good games coming out in the next 3-4 weeks.

I was a little underwhelmed when viewing the videos from that X06 thing. It looked to me like all you was duck for cover and shoot...clear an area, then repeat...hopfeully there is more to it.

Thats what it looks like to me......and that would be boring.

I think EPIC has some nice surprises for us in terms of singleplayer. We've only really seen the first level with one enemy type and a couple of different weapons. There's still a lot more in terms of story, enemies, weapons, bosses, and level design/scenarios that have not been shown yet. I doubt that demo of the first level has shown us all the game has to offer.

Just got back from the pre-emergence day event. Werent too many people there when we got there, about 8:40. Wasnt a real big deal, they showed a demo and some gameplay footage that hasnt been shown yet. One of the coolest things I noticed is how the locusts get involved with your teammates. When their focused on the other guys, it sometimes allows you to move to other positions undetected. You can then take out the baddies from the side or from behind while they focus on your buddy. Afterwards they gave out some posters and a coupon for xbox live to download excusive pics and stuff on the 12th. Unfortunetly no faceplates.

Yeah, honestly you didnt miss much. I thought it would be more exciting than it was, but oh well. Still stoked about the game.
