This is gr-8, but not only do you need DirecTv, you also need a computer running Windows Media Center. Not sure but I heard the new Windows Vista will also allow you to use this feature via your 360.

Re: MS answer to Blue Ray?
just to put in my opinion.....
every is talking about download times or needing a big hard drive. I'm not too sure you will need either. Does anyone have cable t.v. or anything with p.p.v. movies or ON DEMAND? I have on demand and you just go to the list and pick which movie or program you want to watch and it plays instantly. No need for hard drive or a super fast connection. And yes they do have programs on HD also. I get to watch some HD movies ON DEMAND. I would believe this is sorta what they would use so you can watch a movie any time you want it from their main severs or wutever without having to d/l on you own system. This would eliminate the need for a hard drive or long download times....
any thoughts???
EDIT : to try to clarify to those who do not know what ON DEMAND is.... it is sorta like TIVO, but the "tivo box" is with your provider. So it's sorta like having a super long cable connecting your TV to your cable company's TIVO box (if that makes any sense)........Last edited by stephenyoungchoi; 04-04-2006, 01:16 PM.Comment
