Re: E3
Peter Moore's Pre-E3 Chat
"It is our goal to bring E3 home to Xbox Live members as best we can, all the videos and the news as quickly as possible," vowed Peter. "We will give you the flavor of what's going on, on the show floor and some of the stuff that we are showing and debuting here."OMG!!Xbox Live members should be able to play many of the demos that even the celebrities will be testing out at E3.

Re: E3
Wonder what Bungie is talking about here?
"We had a company meeting today where we showed the team a couple of things on the big projection screen. There were lots of oohs and aahs. Hopefully we can share those oohs and aahs in the next few months. It's amazing to see some of the progress on the next project. And these little snippets will be a lot less vague and pointless after we announce it. At that point, I'll get back into giving you specific updates on the progress."
And speaking of prettier - the weekly team meetings are getting prettier and prettier too. We're showing fully playable, often fully lit locations and scenarios.
Could be Halo 2 on Vista, but i'm going to say it's something else.

Re: E3
I'm no expert in how the video game industry works in Japan but I once took a political science course in university (over 10 years ago) with a Japanese professor. He would often share the differences in culture between the Japanese and Americans. This topic not only affects video games but U.S. - Japan trade in general.Originally posted by luv_mistBy the way, I'm curious about the Japan thought too. Someone inform me please.
He simply said the Japanese are big on "names". If Gucci purses are the "in thing", the women will buy them and pay the price no matter if a knockoff is just as good and much cheaper. Its just the mindset over there and its much more powerful than what we have in North America. U.S. products have a hard time cracking the name recognition selling power in Japan sometimes and MS is discovering just how powerful the Sony/Nintendo name are over there. They don't hate MS, they just aren't the top dog in town. (Obviously there are other reasons too).
Furthermore, in Japan role playing games are hugely important. This isn't so in North America where sports games provide a lot of profit. A system can do well at launch in Japan with one or two good games provided a role playing game is one of them. People want different things over here. I have no idea if the 360 has good rpg's because I don't care about them (only sports) but that may be another reason.
These are just possible reasons so no flaming if this has changed in recent times.

Re: E3
From the Peter Moore pre-E3 chat...
http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/10789/...es-PreE3-Chat/Peter showed his excitement for the MMO genre, highlighting that these games break down geographic and language barriers. Last year, Microsoft signed an agreement with Marvel to develop a MMO based on the Marvel universe superheroes. Will Microsoft show the Marvel MMO at E3 2006 for the first time? Maybe that’s the reason for Peter’s enthusiasm:
"Somebody's going to develop that game that becomes the classic metaverse that you read about in Snow Crash and I think that day is going to come sooner rather than later." said Peter. "Somebody's going to crack it; I don't know who it's going to be. I'd like to think it could be us."
I would like to see this Marvel MMO.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
