Re: Wireless Connection (360)
Originally posted by fishepaThat's the same router I have, all you need is the USB wireless adapter from MS and you should be able to plug it in and it should work.
I have 2 different ones... if you can tell me if these would work, and how I'd get them to work when I plug them in my 360...

I did some looking around, that adapater you have won't work.
It needs too be hooked up too a PC or a Laptop all the time since it uses special software that can't be installed on the 360.
This would work...
Or the Microsoft wireless adapter.Last edited by DXZeke; 04-13-2006, 03:51 PM.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Wireless Connection (360)
Ok, I've read through this thread and I still have a question.
We have a wireless connection. The computer downstairs is hard wired, which is where the 360 is, but in a different room.
At this time, I don't want to but the wireless adapter. 3 kids will do that to you. ie, I can't justify the price of the wireless adapter to my wife. Please, don't marry an accountant.
Anyway, I would like to hook up to xbl. Is my last step to plug in the ethernet connection that MS provided from my 360 to our wireless router. It's a D-Link 624 wireless router?
Thanks in advance for your help.Comment

Originally posted by roadmanThank you, I appreciate that. Now, I have to find a longer ethernet connection, the one MS supplied is about 10 ft short.
Thanks.

Yeah, that's what I was asking. If you need the MS cable or can you buy some other cables that aren't as pricey.

Re: Wireless Connection (360)
Update.
BB guy tried to sell me the wireless adapter, he tried to tell me that anything over 30 feet and there will be slowdowns.
I bought the ethernet cable that Pelican sells for $19.99. The other ethernet cable that BB had at 50 ft was $36.00. I used the cable from Pelican and the cable from MS that came with the game.
Now, hooked up to live with one month free gold.
Thanks everyone.Comment
