    hmm ... so is G still the fastest or A? doesnt really matter since right now my router is B, but for future reference does anyone know?

      802.11a is 54 Mbps on the 5.0Ghz frequency (shorter range)
      802.11g is 54 Mbps on the 2.4Ghz frequency (longer range)

      They're the same speed. The main difference is the frequency with which both are relayed on. In other words, if your wireless home phone or other devices are all 2.4Ghz, then I'd get a 5.0Ghz wireless connection. Or if you need to reach a very large area, then 802.11g is probably a better bet.

      FYI - When/If you do upgrade, you also need to upgrade your wireless cards/bridges as well.
