Well, that was uneventful. I was a ship, while they move slow, I guess that's somewhat realistic. The planes have a huge advantage since it's so hard to zero in on them. I managed to take down another ship. It's funny watching it catch fire, then slowly take on water. The graphics don't look as good as they do in the pics, that's for sure. Could be fun. I'd like to try it out tonight with some people I understand.

Re: Battlestations Midway
The reason I was staring at the shipyard is because I had to select a ship with the right bumper, then it launches. I'm not sure why they don't just give you the damn option when the game starts, rather than have you hit a bunch of buttons.Comment

Re: Battlestations Midway
I was in the lobby talking to some others and they said they are having "freezing" issues. I've attempted 3 times now and keep getting locked up.
I'll try again, but given the fragile reputation the 360 has, I'm not going to keep trying.
Gotta love next-gen.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I did lose my connection during the German match. They were all Germans, lol. I was the only American.Comment

Re: Battlestations Midway
I didn't freeze once. I'm wondering if people know what they're doing when they select their ship/sub/aircraft at the beginning. I thought I locked up the first match, but that was only because I didn't know how to select my ship...even after hitting all of the buttons.

Re: Battlestations Midway
There was (and presumably still is) a walkthrough video on xbl called "Strike on Tulagi" that explains the controls in detail.Comment

Re: Battlestations Midway
It looks like you have 3 men on your ship to assign to different areas. You can start them all out manning guns, but as you take on fire or water, you must assign them to those areas. I want to see how the planes handle. Everyone always jumps on them in the lobby, so I'm stuck picking a ship.Comment

Re: Battlestations Midway
In one of the hands-on reviews (IGN?) they mentioned that the 1.5 hour long tutorial is basically essential if you want to understand the game at all. So I'd advise watching whatever walkthrough videos they have up right now....Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.Comment
