Call of Duty 3, although I'm sure it will be a great game, will look NOTHING like that video. Its the same way they do Madden. Also, I'm sure everyone has seen the GRAW commercial. Its commical how they don't show one single in-game clip during the entire commercial yet it is made to look like the game's being played. Its rediculous.
Lastly, for the post about Brothers In Arms 3, I couldn't agree more. The Brothers In Arms series is my absolute favorite when it comes to WWII games. The squads are used so well. They are not too complicated or too simple. Hell's Highway will be great.Comment

Though WE ALL KNOW that those are pre-rendered, that doesn't look that far off to what COD 2 was. The movement basically was what made me realize that it wouldn't be like that. Moved too smooth and all. That would be hot if you could fight with the enemy that close. I'm still trying to figure out why they gave the squad A.I. the ability the throw grenades but not the user in COD 2?Comment

It also helped that it had very minimal competition that came close to it whatsoever. MS didn't deem PDZ good enough to put on the demo kiosk, striking considering they had the multiplatform King Kong playable. During most launches a couple of games overperform due to an immature lineup, COD2 360 is a prime example of this. It's fantastic compared to Kameo and Condemed, not fantastic compared to FEAR, Gears of War, UT2007, Rainbow Six Vegas and Hells Highway. By passing the PC version up that means they feel 3 would get similar success, and imo that's highly unlikely.Originally posted by ExtremeGamer

I sure has hell hope GoW and RB6 don't suck....but you can't say that you know those are going to be amazing games, and CoD2 is an amazing game. Played it last night, post-patch and my God it's so fun again.Comment

Yeah we need to get some OS games going Longhorn. It truly is a different game after the patch. I didn't have one lag problem, and played private games for a couple of hours last night and had a blast in most every one. The thesis of this thread is an apparent business decision by Activision, they have people on there payroll who do nothing but market anaylsis, they should be fired if they believe not releasing a PC version of COD3 is a wise decision. No betting man would go against those titles, some may not make holiday but it's still going to be a very packed holiday 06, Epic and Red storm have been making FPS's forever now. That hardcore base the drove the XBL and game attach rate to unheard of levels will be spread amoung 3 systems. COD2 was on an island by itself on the 360 for a good while. COD 3 wouldn't likely have much more then a year of development, when you couple the fact that 2 was made off of current PC hardware instead of built around more powerful 360 and PS3 processors I doubt it will smoke the competition like it did in 05.Originally posted by Longhorn6Comment

im sure this game will pull its own weight, and im sure ill get a few weeks of solid enjoyment out of it like past titles, but i gotta say that the fact that the developers are still on this WW2 thing is disappointing. i understand that thats the identity of this game from the game, but id like to see call of duty vietnam era or something ww2 games are just getting outdated in my book.Comment
