Re: New Call of Duty skipping PC
Spoke with my friend today from Italy who works in the gaming industry.
Told me the game looks terrific in beta.
Said you can choose between Brit commandoes, some candian army in which you can use tanks and american soilders
He also told me in beta that there were no frame issues at all. Cant remember all but thats what i do remember from our convo today
online going to be up to 24 players so im definitely getting this oneComment

Re: Call Of Duty 3....
COD2 was my favourite online experience EVER! I think that game, post-patch, was unrivaled. As good as it was, it had issues and might have new issues if they're not careful:
1. Sniping was too easy. It was very unbalanced, and way too easy to snipe on bigger maps. Anyone not using a sniper on maps like Brecourt and Toujane was at a HUGE disadvantage. They need to look at Battlefield 2's sniping and mimic it.
2. Hopefully, the ranking system means something and they find a way to reward people who are just good at the game as opposed to just playing it non-stop. Some people don't need to play forever to get good at a game, but it seems like ranking systems are based on time played first, skill second.
That's it for me. Everything else is gravy. Lack of HUD and the awesome grenade indicator were great and it needs to stay that way. One more thing...please for the love of God, keep the framerate at 60fps. Part of my dislike for GRAW's online play is the seemingly choppy play. COD2 was silky smooth.Comment

IGN has the two videos up too. HD for the Insiders.
I was skeptical with Treyarch developing the game, because of their track record on past Call of Duty games, but this is looking pretty good.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Yeah we need to get some OS games going Longhorn. It truly is a different game after the patch. I didn't have one lag problem, and played private games for a couple of hours last night and had a blast in most every one. It looks like we're getting 4 new maps next week as well.
*I think "Call Of Duty 2" for the 360 is a great game too, but I'm still having trouble accepting and sending game invites. Even before the patch I could join a friend's game in progress-now I can't even do that. I'm really looking forward to the 360 version of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" if it ever comes out.Comment
