I always find it amusing when people bring up this argument as well. Microsoft was founded in the US and still is Headquarted in the US. They base their Worldwide operations in the US. So to me Microsoft is and will always be an American company. And as an American like most here I support them.

If you're buying a 360 just because you like the fact that they are American or headed by an American then that is fine. It isn't really a logical reason to purchase something but everyone is entitled to make their purchasing decisions based on whatever criteria they want to.

I was just pointing out that the "Buy American" rationale, a movement created to strengthen the American economy by keeping money in-house and creating jobs, doesn't apply to videogame consoles. And this topic is about making a purchasing decision in regards to the current (or soon to be current) consoles the 360, PS3, and Wii. And the fact is that you are not contributing more to the American economy buy purchasing a 360 over a Wii or PS3 because all of the money brought in by these machines will just be placed in foreign economies. I am not criticizing Microsoft for out-sourcing because that is, unfortunately, common-place in the manufacturing industry.

I'll probably get a 360 before the new year if it's true their dropping the price atleast 50 bucks. I could never bring myself to spend 500 bucks for a system. Personally I'm not really interested in any of the exclusives for PS3, I dont play racing games so I dont care about gran turismo and while I like Metal Gear Solid I'd never buy a PS3 just for that game.
I read somewhere a couple weeks ago the price cut for 360 could be 100 bucks, if that's true i'll be the first in line to get one. I really only play sports games so I dont think I'll need a hard drive at first, probably get one down the road. But if I can get a core system, mem. card and extra controller for around 300 I'd be a very happy man.

I'll be getting a 360 because I play sports games exclusively and I enjoy the support of Xbox live because I don't really see any of my friends and family purchasing a next gen system for awhile I'll need the competition. Another reason is I don't watch dvds, not legal dvds anyway. So i'm shying away from this blue ray player, until the aftermarket versions are able to accomadate my "needs".

But it basically comes down to a dollar for dollar issue, I'll purchase the same games Madden, Ncaa, Nba2k, College Hoops, then i'm open for a little soccer, maybe some boxing and if heat heat was around baseball. I don't need the 200 dollar jump for the limited amount of games i'll play.

Gears of War and NBA 2k7 have me wanting to buy a 360 this week. I was leaning towards a PS3 but the price and sony copying the two prices scheme had me back on the 360. A session at one of my buddies with a 360 and a LCD TV (which i got him a deal on) ended any internal conflict. The only real issues are the possibility of a price drop and the quieter 360s coming next year..

I weighed the options. Just to let you know before E3 I said I would wait to see what the Ps3 has to offer... I did just that. I decided to go ahead and get a 360 because Live seems to be where its at. Though I do think the Ps3 will be a LITTLE more powerful and a tad better graphics. I think it will end up like the Xbox being a tad more powerful then the Ps2. Another thing that has me shifting or getting a 360 is Sony as a company. I know a employee at SCEA and Sony is really in shambles. None of the branches work together. THey all do their own thing. Besides I think the 360 has a great situation. I will miss MLB 2007 when it comes out though. I will just get it for the ps2. Forza will be great and especially the wireless wheel that has force feedback and vibration. You get vibration all the time. If you want force feedback you will have to plug into a Electrical outlet. I love the design of the foot pedals. It has a slot where you can put in your heels and hold the platform down. Check it out. Well that's my story I will get a 360 but I will hold off until the TGS to see if the 360 drops the price to 349.00 Witht he xtra 250 bucks I can get a couple of games and another controller.

mines isnt even loud so i have no complains the ones that come out now are not as loud as launch 360s
