I haven't followed this too much so if this is a stupid question forgive me. Will all the games have the weird controller movement to it like Madden. Can you play games like Zelda normally or do you have to swing the controller all the time to do the things you need to do? Thanks.

There's a rumor that you'll be able to use a GC controller on the Revolution. I'm assuming the Wavebird controller since it's Wireless.Originally posted by p2xgamersThey haven't mentioned anything about a normal controller yet.Comment

I'm in love with this system!!
Red Steel looks awesome! The graphics are fine, cool animations and exciting looking gameplay in the official trailer!!
Zelda will be special!! Having the Wii remote secret (rumble feature with a speaker for sound) work for fishing, bow and arrow etc is genius!!!!!
I have been playing games since the first Atari and I have never been so excited for a new console!!!!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Re: *** The All Nintendo Wii Price and Features Thread***
I apologize for my ignorance. I swore off Nintendo after the Gamecube but it appears there is a lot of love brewing for them. Is there anywhere on the net where I can look at fact sheet of a FAQ for this new system (ie price, release date, what is this controller thing people are talking about, backwards compatibility, online aspects, etc.)? Thanks!
On a side note, is the PS3 going to be backwards compatible to PS2 and PS1 out of the box? Thanks!Comment

Re: *** The All Nintendo Wii Price and Features Thread***
I'm pretty sure the PS3 is completely backwards compatible. As for the specs on the Wii, it does not come close to the 360 or PS3 but that wasn't their goal. They are only marketing it as a gaming system and are cutting corners to have the price the cheapest. They have said they don't want to get in a tech war with MS and Sony and its a good strategy I think. However, that controller looks like an SNES controller and if the sports games don't match up and get supported not only by EA and roster creators, I'd most likely pass. They at least have me thinking about the thing.Originally posted by thelwig14I apologize for my ignorance. Here is a good site that breaks the numbers down (speculating still):
More Specs that are speculated:
System 1 Modified
CPU:
1 IBM Custom PowerPC 2.5 GHz with 256 KB L1 cache and 1 MB of L2 cache (an L3 cache is rumored). It’s Dual Threaded
13 billion dot product operations per second
Revolution GPU:
ATI Custom based RN520 core.
GPU core at 600 MHz. Will support up to 2048x1268 resolution, HD support is still being decided. Will have 256 MB’s of 1T-SRAM
32 parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines.
Polygon Performance: 500 million triangles per second theoretical, average in game would be around <100 Million/sec>
Shader Performance: ~50 billion shader operations per second
Revolution memory: 512 MB of 700 MHz 1T-SRAM

Appreciated. Few quick questions. Does Nintendo own all the rights to previous games on their systems? Is Goldeneye and Super Dodge Ball and such realistic to expect as downloads? Or will it just be first party Nintendo games? Any word on this? And are we guessing the $200 range? And $5-10 per downloadable game? Thanks!Comment

Re: *** The All Nintendo Wii Price and Features Thread***
I bet it'll be around 249 when all is said and done. The download prices seem to change depending on the system/games. Some will be for 99 cents, others probably around 5 bucks. I doubt it'll be anything more than that.Comment

Re: *** The All Nintendo Wii Price and Features Thread***
Well I've got 4 games on my list to be intrested in now. Red Steel,Sengoku,Disaster and Necro. Not enough to buy the system yet but it's better than the 0 it was last week. More games will be annouced tomorrow though. Graphics on the golf and baseball look pretty silly so I'm not intrested.Comment
