Shoot, I need to try and play KOTOR before I touch this sucker. I want to understand their greatness. So great that we're getting this game. Dang, I need to hurry up and make money.

KOTOR is better than KOTOR II, and don't forget Jade Empire.

              X06: Mass Effect Impressions
We sit in on an all-new demonstration of BioWare's upcoming RPG.

Earlier today, during a meeting with BioWare at Microsoft's X06 event in Barcelona, we had an opportunity to check out the latest work-in-progress version of Mass Effect. Currently scheduled for release sometime next year, Mass Effect is an ambitious sci-fi role-playing game in which you'll assume the role of Commander Shepard--the only human elite agent in a peacekeeping organization known as Specter. We weren't allowed to get our hands on the controller on this occasion, but we did get to see plenty of new features as a BioWare representative played the game.

New footage is up on MTV Overdrive. It's some of the stuff BioWare showed at X06. You should see it on the right side.

Microsoft and BioWare need to get this up on the Marketplace in HD.

This is probably my most anticipated game right now. I love bioware games.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I thought it was like a RPG type of thing? The vastness of what the game is plus the 1st/2nd person addition is definitely an enjoyable aspect. I can't wait to get my hands on this sucker.

It is an rpg but with realtime combat. I wouldn't be looking forward to it if it was turn-based.

Nothing wrong with turn based fighting. My favorite Rpgs are turn based (KOTOR II and Shadow Hearts: Covenant).

There's something wrong with it for me. I loved KOTOR but the rest of them are just boring and not the way I would prefer to play in a game. I don't like not having any control over movement and relying on stats to be able to get out of the way of attacks.
